I'm sure you all saw it on the news, but the Rams just traded Jason Smith to the Jets for Wayne Hunter. A pretty boring transaction of underperforming offensive lineman, but the important thing in all this is that Jason Smith was the No. 2 overall pick just three years ago. Just goes to show you how much of a crap shoot the Draft can be, even when you are drafting at the top. The Rams will have a few extra opportunities to pick up an impact player after the RGIII trade, but who is to say that the guy taken in those spots won't be the next Jason Smith? I know we have had that discussion numerous times, I just felt this was a good opportunity to bring it back up.
