Redskins Sign Billy Cundiff, Release Graham Gano

Stay connected for news and updates

I hope Graham Gano didn't celebrate too hard yesterday, the Redskins kicker for the past three years has been cut by the Redskins and replaced by veteran Billy Cundiff. The Redskins also cut Neil Rackers less than twenty four hours ago.

Cundiff is a ten year veteran, who is 32 years old. Most recently Cundiff played for the Ravens where he was a Pro Bowler in 2010, but is most recently remember for missing the kick that sent the Patriots to the Super Bowl a year ago.

Looking at last year, Cundiff hit 75.7% of his kicks and was seven for nine between 40 and 49 yards. He struggled beyond 50 yards where he was just one for six. Cundiff has also spent time with the Cowboys, Browns, and Saints.
