First, let me acknowledge that I am absolutely stealing this idea from a poster on another SBNation site. It generated a great deal of interest, and I thought it would be fun to see what people came up with here.
The idea is to state your deeply held belief in something Redskins related that you know is not a popular opinion. This can be relevant to the current team or something from this franchise's long and storied history. While disagreement and debate is encouraged in the comments section, please take into account that the opinions are being put forth with the full knowledge that they are unpopular. There's no need for snide remarks and childish barbs.
I'll go first. Charles Mann was overrated. His career numbers are great, and he is a beloved member of Redskins history for his contribution to three championships and his endless shilling for TV dinners. However, he basically was the beneficiary of having played alongside two of the best defensive linemen of his era...Dexter Manley and Dave Butz. Mann had one good year without either Butz or Manley lining up next to him in 1991. He was a solid defensive end, but he was nowhere near as good as Skins fans make him out to be.
There. Now it's your turn.
