As you all know... our best inside linebacker (arguably one of the best in the league) London Fletcher is getting long is the tooth. To be more accurate, he's getting LONGER in the tooth. Inside linebacker is a priority in the draft as we lack depth as well as long term prospective starters. Vontaze Burfict, whom I assume you are all familiar with, was once considered a Top-5 pick in tonight's draft. That was before his glorious and well documented fall. However, the tape doesn't lie. He did indeed have a down year, but his ferocity and potential is undeniable. If he is available in the 6th or 7th round... I would take him. Not only would teams have to account for Orakpo and Kerrigan on the outsides... but eventually, they would have to worry about this monster of a man patrolling the middle of the field. I was thinking about whether or not he would be too much for our locker room... but then I thought about what other linebacking corps in the league could handle such a young man. The only ones I could think of were Baltimore... Pittsburgh... and us. HTTR.
