Hello Redskins faithful, with the rumors of the Redskins possibly moving their training camp to Richmond, it got me thinking about how cool it would be if the Redskins would move permanently to Richmond or the Hampton Roads area. I would prefer Richmond myself considering I'm from the Charlottesville area and that is considered central VA like Richmond.

Maryland has the Ravens and I really don't see why the Redskins built a stadium in Maryland to begin with considering Virginia has more die hard Skins fans than Maryland. DC and Maryland can build a new franchise to cheer for and give Virginia the Skins. We could call them the Richmond Redskins or the Virginia Redskins. Anyhow, Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell said quite a bit when discussing the Skins's history with his commonwealth.

"Not only is [Redskins football] marvelous entertainment, not only do we live and die with that Sunday afternoon Redskins game, but we also understand what you bring to the Commonwealth of Virginia," McDonnell said, via Redskins.com. "We know you have a D.C. link, we know you play on Sundays in Maryland, but we know you spend most of your time in Ashburn, Virginia. We're very grateful and excited about that."
