Our 3rd Round Pick This Year is Very Very Important

Due to the Washington Redskins well-documented trade to the St. Louis Rams for the 2nd overall draft pick in the 2012 draft (in exchange for the Redskin's 2012, 2013, 2014 1st Round Picks + 2012 2nd Round Pick). The Redskins first selection boils down to only two players: Andrew Luck from Stanford University or Robert Griffin the Third from Baylor University, but we all know that the latter is more likely. With no 2nd round pick, it's vital that we hit on our lone 3rd round pick. With the moves made so far in free agency, wide receiver has been addressed for the year and will most likely have a high-potential, low-risk pick in the later rounds. The two positions that need to be keyed in on are: strong safety and right tackle. This year's safety class is quite underwhelming with two Top 100 prospects (Mark Barron, Harrison Smith). Many people have mocked Winston Guy, SS from Kentucky to the 'Skins in the 4th or maybe 5th Rounds, so RT should be the position of focus. I think that the Redskins should select Levy Adcock, OT from OK State. He received glowing reviews from his Pro Day, with many scouts citing agility and quick feet as some pros in his workout. This is important if he is to man the right side of our line. He was formerly a second round prospect, however, he didn't even receive an invitation to the combine. I say take advantage of that... draft him and give him a chance to possibly start (barring an Eric Winston-esque signing).

Mock Draft:

Round 1 - Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor University

Round 3 - Levy Adcock, OT, OK State

Round 4 - Brian Quick, WR, App. State

Round 4 - Guy Winston, SS, Kentucky

Round 5 - Cliff Harris, CB, Oregon

Round 6 - Audie Cole, ILB, NC State

Round 7 - Edwin Baker, RB, Michigan State

(Picks in Round 5, 6, & 7 are throw up... focus more on positions rather than players at those spots...)
