Can you remember the last time the Redskins had a good QB? Not one that simply managed the game and didn't lose it for you, nor one with a rocket arm hitting everything that moves. No, a winner. A QB that not only wants to win, but can win, and make everyone around him a winner. RG3 is unlike any QB the Redskins have had, at least as long as I can remember. Yes, we gave away half of the franchise to get him, and some of you are very unhappy about it. Yet, I think we will get more than just a great QB with that bold move, we will attract free agents as well. Here are a few reasons why I believe trading up will net more than one player:
- Look at Philadelphia. Yeh, I know the dream team didn't work out, but many free agents were drawn to the Eagles, because of Mike Vick.
- Money alone draws some of the worst players. Albert Haynesworth, case in point. With a good QB at the helm we might be able to draw players that care about winning as much as their paycheck.
- Leadership on the field. When Peyton Manning became available every team gave consideration. Even teams with a decent QB, why? Leadership on the field. Some QB's can deliver the ball and call the plays, but a few can actually lead the team. I think RG3 is one of those guys.
