Hello Redskins fans, Jets fan here. Much Congratulations to y'all on your new quarterback. Anyway, the Jets apparently have some interest in LaRon Landry, which doesn't really surprise any of us, since our current safety scenario is a total nightmare. We've lost one of our guys two years in a row to a season-ending injury (Jim Leonhard), and he's a free agent that was kinda limited anyway. We have another guy that really couldn't handle being a full time player (Eric Smith), since he just wasn't athletic enough to cover tight ends or stop anyone from getting over the top of him. Then we have another free agent who's always been kinda an underachiever (Brodney Pool) that blows a lot of coverages. The common problem between all these guys is that they don't cover well, especially tight ends, which is a real problem considering we're in the same division as Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez. So If you guys don't mind, I'd like some info about LaRon Landry, since i'm hearing some things about him probably leaving you guys, and I don't usually get to watch Redskins games.

I'm well aware that he blows people up when it comes to tackling, which is always nice, but does he cover well? Or can he at least play zone or cover tight ends? I Know he's had some injury problems over the last two years, but were those an issue before then? How much was he making on his old contract and how much do you guys think he may command on his new one?
