Trading Back

If the Redskins fail to move up in the draft to get RG3 and the first 5 picks turn out to be Luck, Blackmon, Kalil, RG3 and Claiborne then I believe our best move would be to trade back. The Bengals hold the 17th and 21st picks and could really use Trent Richardson. There's no telling if they would be willing to part with both of those picks to move all the way up to 6 and take Richardson. However, given the hypothetical that they would and we pull of this trade, Who should we target with the 17th and 21st picks?

Personally, I would like to see us target OL and a DB but what do you guys think?

DeCastro, G, Stanford

Mike Adams, T, Ohio State

Jonathan Martin, T, Stanford

Cordy Glenn, G/T, Georgia

DB that may be available:

Mark Barron, S, Alabama

Dre Kirkpatrick, CB, Alabama

Janoris Jenkins, CB, North Alabama

Alfonzo Dennard, CB, Nebraska

Stephon Gilmore, CB, South Carolina

Or we could grab a WR such as:

Michael Floyd, Notre Dame

Alshon Jeffrey, South Carolina

Kendall Wright, Baylor

What do you guys think if this scenario played out? What positions should we target and what two players would you add to our roster.

This scenario would NOT play out so it is a mute point

Why would the Bengals trade with the Redskins when there 4 other teams after the Skins that will not take Richardson? If they was to trade up it would be with Buffalo,Mia or Carolina and I doubt that they would give both their 1st to do so.

I also doubt that this would happen

running back just isnt needed to win a superbowl so teams are more willing to wait . mark ingrahm was highly rated last year and almost wasnt a 1st round pick and with guys like cj spiller not and reggie bush not living up to the hype of being top ten picks teams are more willing to wait.

hypothetically speaking if this did happen at 17 and 21 I would target

You have too much faith in him. I think Kirkpatrick or some other flashy headcase will be their pick.

Its just hypothetical

I realize teams dont value RB’s like they used to and its a long shot for Richardson to go in the top ten. I realize that this trade is not likely to happen at all. This was just a hypothetical situation since I’m tired of everyone talking about RG3 and Manning.

I was just wondering who you all would target if we did trade back to the late teens/early 20s area. Thats all
