The Four Draft Scenarios

Alright everyone, the way I see it, we have four draft scenarios: Trading up to #2, staying at #6 and having RGIII fall to us, staying at #6 and not having RGIII fall to us, and trading down. Here are my mock drafts for each of the four scenarios (assuming there are no more trades after the first round):

MOVING UP TO #2 OVERALL

We all know that Jeff Fisher and Mike Shanahan are buddy-buddy and there's a fairly good chance we could move up to #2.

  • FIRST ROUND: Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor (#2 Overall, trade with St. Louis, send them our first & second round pick this year, second & third next year)
  • THIRD ROUND: Bobby Massie, OT, Mississippi (#70 Overall)
  • FOURTH ROUND: Joe Adams, WR, Arkansas (#102 Overall)
  • FOURTH ROUND: Lucas Nix, OG, Pittsburgh (#113 Overall)
  • FIFTH ROUND: Duke Ihanacho, SS, San Jose State (#134 Overall)
  • SIXTH ROUND: Terrance Ganaway, RB, Baylor (#166 Overall. I think we all know Shanny likes taking fliers on RB's, and with Ganaway coming from Baylor it wouldn't hurt because of Griffin III.)
  • SEVENTH ROUND: Kellen Moore, QB, Boise State (#198 Overall. Reassurance in case Griffin is a bust)

STAYING AT #6 OVERALL, GRIFFIN FALLS TO US

  • FIRST ROUND: Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor (#6 Overall)
  • SECOND ROUND: Zebrie Sanders, OT, Florida State (#38 Overall)
  • THIRD ROUND: Nick Toon, WR, Wisconsin (#70 Overall)
  • FOURTH ROUND: Michael Brewster, C, Ohio State (#102 Overall)
  • FOURTH ROUND: Audie Cole, ILB, North Carolina State (#113 Overall)
  • FIFTH ROUND: Brett Roy, DT, Nevada (#134 Overall)
  • SIXTH ROUND: Rishard Matthews, WR, Nevada (#166 Overall)
  • SEVENTH ROUND: Ryan Miller, OG, Colorado (#198 Overall)

STAYING AT #6 OVERALL, GRIFFIN DOESN'T FALL TO US

  • FIRST ROUND: Riley Reiff, OT, Iowa (#6 Overall)
  • SECOND ROUND: Brandon Weeden, QB, Oklahoma State (#38 Overall)
  • THIRD ROUND: Amini Silatolu, OG, Midwestern State (#70 Overall)
  • FOURTH ROUND: Tommy Streeter, WR, Miami (#102 Overall)
  • FOURTH ROUND: Michael Egnew, TE, Missouri (#113 Overall)
  • FIFTH ROUND: B.J. Coleman, QB, Chattanooga (#134 Overall)
  • SIXTH ROUND: Jerry Franklin, ILB, Arkansas (#166 Overall)
  • SEVENTH ROUND: Matt Daniels, SS, Duke (#198 Overall)

TRADING DOWN TO #17 OVERALL WITH THE RAIDERS

I think Oakland is fairly QB needy. So we trade 11 spots back with the Raiders, who in turn give us their first, second, and seventh this year, and third and fourth next year.

  • FIRST ROUND: Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor (#17 Overall. I know it's wishful thinking at 17, but it could happen)
  • SECOND ROUND: Brandon Weeden, QB, Oklahoma State (#38 Overall)
  • SECOND ROUND: Brock Osweiler, QB, Arizona State (#49 Overall)
  • THIRD ROUND: Bobby Massie, OT, Mississippi (#70 Overall)
  • FOURTH ROUND: Brandon Mosley, OG, Auburn (#102 Overall)
  • FIFTH ROUND: James-Michael Johnson, ILB, Nevada (#134 Overall)
  • SIXTH ROUND: Brandon Taylor, SS, Louisiana State (#166 Overall)
  • SEVENTH ROUND: George Bryan, TE, North Carolina State (#198 Overall)
  • SEVENTH ROUND: Andrew Datko, OT, Florida State (#209 Overall)
