2012 NFL Mock Draft w/trades

Hey guys I wanted to share with you my latest Mock Draft this time with trades. I only did 4 rounds w/trades, but wanted to get your guy's feedback on the Skins picks. I'll do the write-ups from the first two rounds, but if you want to check out all 4 click the link above.

I have the Redskins making three trades in the top 4 rounds:

At 6th overall RGIII is off the board and the Redskins need to consider moving back. I have them swapping picks with the Eagles, so Philly can take MLB Luke Kuechly. For the Skins trouble of moving back to the 15th spot, they pick up the Eagles 2nd rounder (46th overall), 4th rounder (114th) and 6th rounder (from NE.

When it got down to the 15th pick I felt the Redskins had a choice. They could go with QB Ryan Tannehill, or roll the dice with a strong overall draft class and consider moving back again. I decided to try the 2nd approach and swap picks with the Lions so they could nab C Peter Konz. For moving back to the 23rd pick the Redskins picked up Detroit's 2nd rounder 54th.

At 46th overall (the pick from the Eagles) I have the Redskins swapping picks with the Bengals (53rd overall). For moving back the Redskins pick up Cincy's 4th rounder (116th).

23rd: T Cordy Glenn, Georgia: Glenn had a strong week for the Redskins staff at the Senior Bowl, and proved himself capable of playing tackle (likely RT) in the NFL. While he is bigger than most ZBS tackles, he moves well enough for that not to matter.

39th: QB Brandon Weeden, Oklahoma State: The Redskins land their QB here and it is a guy that they worked with and impressed them down in Mobile. Weeden should be able to step right in for the Redskins offense.

53rd: WR Brian Quick, App. State: Quick has the upside to be an elite receiver, and while he is a bit raw overall, he'd be a nice pick-up here with the extra selection.

54th: CB Leonard Johnson, Iowa State: Johnson is one of the more underrated CB's in the country. He went up against some of the nation's best receivers (Blackmon, Wright, McNutt, Sanu) and gave them some of their toughest games. He's one of the smartest and best cover guys in this draft an a fantastic pick for the Skins.

So what do you think? Essentially for moving back from the 6th pick to the 23rd spot the Redskins picked up a pair of 2nd rounders, a pair of 4th rounders and a 6th round pick. Was it worth the move back?

Steve Shoup will be covering Free Agency and the NFL Draft for his own site Fanspeak.com, but will provide write-ups on players for the Redskins here on Hogs Haven as well. Check out his NFL Draft Page for more details and updates throughout the draft season! HTTR!
