Lets Talk QB Legacy
With Tom Brady starting his 5th Super Bowl if he win his 4th Super Bowl Ring does that make him the Greatest QB in the history of the NFL??? There are a lot that goes into ranking the best QB's of all time but the most important is winning Super Bowls. John Elway was one of the greatest QB's before winning back to back Super Bowls but winning them put the exclamtion point on his career. Dan Marino is one of the greatest pure passers the NFL has ever seen but will never be considered the greatest QB because he did not win the Big one. So what i want to know is Who is the Greatest QB's of all time. Here is my top 10 all time.
1 Joe Montana 4 Super Bowls
2 John Elway 2 Super Bowls
3 Tom Brady 3 Super Bowls
4 Johnny Unitas 3 Championships
5 Peyton Manning 1 Super Bowl
6 Dan Marino played in 1 Super Bowl
7 Steve Young 1 Super Bowls
8 Brett Farve 1 Super Bowls
9 Troy Aikman 3 Super Bowls
10 Otto Graham 7 Championship titles
others to be considered: Fran Tarkenton,Sammy Baugh, Roger Staubach, Jim Kelly, Warren Moon, Dan Fouts, Ben Rothlisberger
Let the debates begin!!!

It is a toss up between John Elway and Tom Brady
If Brady wins another SB this year then i say Brady hands down without question.
From watching film over the last 4 years I can tell you this: Man is Landry Jones good! -Tiller56
montana
When I was a kid, my father told me, "Never hit anyone in anger, unless you're absolutely sure you can get away with it." -Russell Ziskey
Montanna
watch them play – nobody read defense better than Joe…NOBODY!
And back then the rules made it more difficult for the passing game.
Even so I don’t rate QBs solely by SB wins as football is a team game, more so than basketball or baseball. A good QB can be on a crappy team and still be a good QB. Is Trent Dilfer a better QB than Warren Moon because he won a SB and Warren didn’t? Not a snowballs chance in hell!
Erm...
No Terry Bradshaw? Four Super Bowl rings, plus two Super Bowl MVP’s? Sure he had probably the best all-round team in history around him but if you’re just judging on Super Bowl’s then Bradshaw must be in the top ten!

no doubt that's a huge oversight
and if SB wins is the measuring stick he has no equals.
I am not just judging on Super Bowls but they do play a factor
I can put anybody on that top ten list and they would have had just as much success as Bradshaw.
then you need to replace Aikman with Moon as he was a much better QB
Aikman was a good QB who looked great because of the massive amount of talent surrounding him.
Bradshaw was definitely better than Aikman also.
I wouldn’t rate Elway higher than 5 or 6
1. Montanna
2. Brady
3. Marino
4. Fouts
5. Young
6. Peyton Manning
7. Unitas
8. Graham
9. Favre
10. Elway
11. Warren Moon
12. Dan Fouts
13. Curt Warner
14. Bradshaw
Elway is a possibly the Best QB of all time
he went to 3 super bowls with some not so good Bronco teams, he always gave you a chance to win.
Aikman got a edge cause he won 3 super bowls, and he did have to play well did not throw a lot of picks and made big plays.
I think the better question is...
Does Eli get any consideration if he wins his second?
he still would have a lot of work to do to get in the top 10
Ben Rothlisbeger has 2 super bowls but not in the top 10 of all time
I don't really consider Rothlisberger a candidate
The guy had a horrible first superbowl and his 2nd was nothing spectacular. He hasn’t had consistently great seasons so I dunno. Eli on the other hand has had three 4000 yard season in a row and almost broke 5,000 this year. We can talk about his first superbowl if we want but we all know he had some jaw dropping moments. Anyway, in my personal opinion, Eli is higher up on the list than Ben.

Well i look at it like this the Edge goes to Big Ben in my mind cause
he been to 3 Super bowls won 2 and have a better career completion % 63.1 compared to 58.4 for Manning and Manning have thrown 29 more Ints than Big Ben. 10-3 record in the playoffs vs 7-3 for Manning i just give Ben the edge.
Manning might only have one SuperBowl victory....
but he is the #1 QB of all time….
He’s won 4 NFL MVP’s…and look at what his team did without him this year
Brady is definitely creeping up the list, regardless if he wins or not on Sunday.
"Honey Badger Don't Care"
Not even a discussion that Manning is the greatest
his playoff record is horrible, he is a great QB but not better than Brady, Elway or Montana.
he is NOT better than Elway
I can argue that Elway is better than Montana, and argue that Brady will be better than Montana, I cant argue that Manning is better than Montana
Brady is a system guy.
The pats are a system team. And Brady is 0-2 in superbowls where they didn’t cheat. I seriously am enraged that bellicheck was allowed to keep his coaching job after he was found guilty of cheating and doing so while winning 3 superbowls he is a disgrace to the greats of the gam and should have his trophies and rings stripped from him. Roger goodell can pick on the black guys but won’t touch bellicheck?

is it just me...
or is anyone else tired of seeing the man in his underwear ad for “Delocated”? NASTY!!!
BTW, Montana (1), Manning (2), Brady (3), Elway (4), Unitas (5)

Sammy Baugh needs to be in the top 10.
And Tom Brady needs to drop down a bit. The best argument for that is look at what Matt Cassel did in his only year with the Patriots. He hadn’t played since High School and floundered after leaving New England, but he won 11 games with the Pats. Compare that to the 2-14 Colts and it becomes easier to say that Manning was better than Brady. Not to mention no QB in history led a receiver like Manning did. That’s was the most astonishing aspect of his game.
Skins rule
Matt Cassel still had Randy Moss to throw to.
Tom Brady has done more with less than any QB in the top 10. Wes Welker is average at best, Troy Brown, David Givens, Branch. And he has a way better playoff record than Manning, the Cassel year had more to do with Bill Bellicheck than Cassel.
Wes Welker is not "average at best"
The guy is a damn good receiver.

Brett Favre does not belong in this discussion....
not top ten…..not even top 15.

I reluctantly put him in there
he got like 3 MVP’s and 1 Super Bowl and went to another and was a iron man, put up a lot of numbers
