Redskins Hire Phillip Daniels as Director of Player Development
Well, it's not exactly Matt Flynn or Peyton Manning, but the Redskins made an equally important hire today signing former Redskins Captain, Phillip Daniels, to be the Director of Player Development. What exactly is a Director of Player Development?
The director of player development is tasked with helping athletes handle their finances, develop careers after sports and deal with the media.
I don't think I could have hand-picked a better person for this job. Can he talk to the Wizards and Capitals, too?Phillip has always been a standup guy, and he's an absolute pro in radio interviews and twitter. If Trent Williams and Fred Davis don't want to listen, then, well, Daniels still squats 900 lbs so just try him (he still works out daily at Garage Gym in Chicago).
Welcome back to D.C., Uncle Phil.

He was a great locker room guy.
I was hoping last year that they would hire him for strength and conditioning. Phil is a total beast.
