Rocky McIntosh to Rams?

I'm a little surprised that LB Rocky McIntosh has not been mentioned more in trade talks. He has not worked out well for the Redskins new 3-4 style of defense, but he's still a solid player. I feel he could be trade-bait for the Rams to include in leverage to move up for the #2 pick of the NFL Draft. In addition, Chris Cooley could be tossed in to minimize the damage of giving too many picks away this year.

Then, we nab RG3 number 2 overall and hopefully still have our 3 Round pick this year to draft a WR, OL, or TE (to replace Cooley depth).

Free Agents:

Redskins should really look at adding WR's Dwayne Bowe and Steve Johnson this offseason. Along with retaining TE Fred Davis and developing WR Lenoard Hankerson - the skins would have some real threats to attack a defense.

I think Rocky is a free agent

They could sign him and trade him, but that rarely happens.

Now this is a sensible post, and I've never thought about this.

I'm telling you, these guys that keep trading players that aren't ours are the most sensible/genious dudes we've ever seen

Well, Rocky is a free agent

and was benched for Riley towards the end of the season. He only signed a one year deal here last year so he could hit the market again this year. It looked to me like he didn’t want to be here and the Redskins didn’t want him. So I don’t see him coming back to D.C. at all, which means we can’t trade him if he’s not ours to trade.

A for effort and creativity

F for execution. It’s too bad that Rocky is a free agent because this is at least an original idea, unlike all the normal repetitive QB posts we’ve been having on here as of late.

more likely

a package including perry riley/ dhall / fred davis for a first round swap I would be completly fine with this as long as we replace them in the draft

F. Davis?

Why trade our young TE who is a FA when we have a pro bowl caliber older one in Cooley. He’s still has decent trade value and would give Sam Bradford a consistent target. Mcintosh could get a 1yr deal just to trade him or find a fit.

why wouldn't the Rams just sign McIntosh?

And Cooley wouldn’t even land you a 5th rounder at this point.

D-hall doesn't really have any trade value

and no Rams fan (or anyone that worked for the team) would consider getting Riley and Davis as equal value for swapping picks (or even close to it).

Both of those guys are far more valuable to us than the Rams.

Rocky is a free agent and at this point, even if he was not, he would not bring us more than a tube of benay

I'm stating the obvious here.

I think everyone knows that Rocky is a free agent. I also think there is a lot of fantasizing (some not so rationale) about fixing this team. Bottom line is we are not in control of player selection/personnel issues in any way, shape, or form. People are always going to dream because we’ve been down so long. What ever Shanny and Allen do is what they do.
