Seattle and RG-One-and-a-Half

I think it's safe to say most of us who've watched Robert since he sustained his knee injury realize it's far worse than we were led to believe. Robert's speed and elusiveness are diminished. More worrisome, Robert's completion % yesterday was his worst of the season, a pedestrian 50%.

Who can we expect next Sunday? RG3 or RG-One-and-a-Half?

If you look deep within your die-hard self, you can admit Robert's leg and passing have been less than perfect as of late, especially when compared to RG3's previous performances. You can recollect that throughout training camp observers remarked on Robert's up and down performance. Sonny, among others, mentioned Robert was far less sharp on some days than others, raising a concern about Robert's consistency.

So, what can we expect against Seattle's formidable defense, a D that's given up the league's fewest points? Will we see RG3 or RG-One-and-a-Half?

We've seen Robert has no issue planting on his sprained knee. We can scratch that concern. We've seen he still runs the zone-read option to perfection, gaining significant yardage and converting key third downs. There goes another concern off the list. So that leaves the question of Robert's consistency. Next Sunday can we expect another outing where Robert completes 50% of his passes and throws no TDs? The stats may provide the answer.

Here's a review of this season and last:

The stats scream consistency. The stats add up to season long Passer Rating of 102.4, the league's highest yards per attempt and less interceptions than every other starting QB. (No D has picked Robert off twice, even those teams that played him twice this season. RG3 has thrown a mere 5 interceptions the entire year.)

Robert will be facing a tough D this coming Sunday but I fully expect to see a stellar RG3:
- Run the league's most dangerous zone-read option.
- Play fake like a Harlem Globetrotter.
- Refuse to give up even one pick.
- Easily plant and precisely deliver passes to Pierre Garcon, Josh Morgan, Leonard Hankerson, Santana Moss and Aldrick Robinson.
