I've been following hogshaven for a while now, and I absolutely have loved it. I felt I should finally sign up and get involved more. My name is Greg, I'm 28 and from Freehold, NJ (it's not just a clever name) and I've been a Redskins ever since I can remember (sounds like an AA meeting). Living in New Jersey it hasn't always been easy being surrounded by coverage and fans of the Giants, Jets, a little dose of the Eagles, and the ever-present Cowgirls. I get asked around here every day, how/why are you a Redskins fan? I do have family that are from Maryland and Virginia who are Redskins fans, but the real reasoning is simply, at around 4, I decided to be one. Some of my recent Redskin fan highlights have been having my submitted question to espn's nfc east blog get asked to Coach Shanahan last year. I was at the 9/11/11 home opener win vs the Giants. Also, sitting in the first row vs the Jets last year and getting a thumbs up from Santana Moss and getting on TV was awesome. I thoroughly enjoy being one of the few Redskins fans around here, and love sticking up for them. It has made the Redskins that much more special to me. Hopefully, because of this I can contribute a slightly different view of being a Redskins fan, one of living outside of the DMV, in comments to some of the posts and stories.
