Almost everybody needs a starting quarterback: Jets, Cardinals, Jaguars, Browns, Bills, Raiders, Chiefs....... There are only 2 projected 1st Round quarterbacks in the draft. Geno Smith and Matt Barkley are listed taken in the 20's. Barkley may be in free fall mode. Charlie Casserly said Kirk Cousins, right now, is worth a 2nd round draft pick. He also said he might be worth two 2nd round draft picks. I do not want to trade him until after his 4th year. Franchise tag him like the Patiots did to Matt Cassell and then send him away. We get Kirk as insurance for 4 years and then we still get something (Cassell cost KC a 2nd round pick) when Cousins rookie contract is over. Alex Smith and Matt Flynn will be with new teams this year. Add Geno Smith and Barkley, and now only 4 teams will have that position settled. What about the other teams? What if Mike Shanahan throws out a ridiculous offer like a 1st and a 3rd? Will a team bite? I'm just saying never say never. If that 1st round pick turns into a stud Cornerback and that 3rd rounder we take a good safety (safeties are usually devalued at the draft) will that be worth Kirk Cousins. I'm just saying..........
