Griffin was able to return to practice in a limited capacity on Wednesday. He was also limited in practice on Thursday and Friday, but Shanahan expressed that he was continually improving.
According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, Redskins players informed him that Griffin was only able to participate in individual drills and did not take any reps with the first team. Backup quarterback Kirk Cousins has taken all the first team reps.
The announcement as to whether Griffin will be the starter will be made right before game time.
