Rafael Suanes-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Redskins release Billy Cundiff and sign Kai Forbath.

Forbath, who is 25 years old, went 5-5 this pre-season for Tampa Bay and spent time with the Cowboys in 2011...mostly on the IR. So, this means the Redskins previous two kickers were once Dallas Cowboys. This is not going to end well my gut is saying. I'm wrong a lot, so I'll try and maintain complacency here.

Josh Brown and Olinda Mare were the two kickers who didn't win the job in yesterday's tryout. I didn't look it up but I think they're 104 years old combined.

Some UCLA highlights of Forbath:

  • Second-team All-Pac-10 ...
  • His .842 career percentage is second in school history among players with at least 20 career field goals (John Lee - .850) ...
  • Tied for first on UCLA career list with 85 field goals (John Lee) ...
  • Finished No. 2 in career scoring at UCLA
OK, so who's going to be the Redskins fan that wears and black bandana with a #1 jersey that has "Cobra Kai" on the back? I nominate Ken.
