Before anyone jumps the gun, no i'm not talking about this year.
We don't have an easy route towards fixing the defense this offseason. We're short on cap space like we were last year and we're short on first round draft picks for the next few years.
Back when Shanahan was in Denver and needed secondary help he swindled the Skins out of a shut down corner and a second round draft pick for Clinton Portis. How would everyone feel if he tried it again this year. Frankly I think Morris is an outstanding back. He consistently gets good yardage after contact and falls forward, however how much of his success comes from the system and RGIII's presence?
If we could get a shut down corner for him this offseason straight up would you do it? I know I would, I'll take my chances of Shanny hitting another RB late in the draft then finding a plug and play corner with our picks the next few years.
