The NFL has fined the Buffalo Bills and the Washington Redskins for the way the two teams handled injury reports pertaining to defensive end Mario Williams and quarterback Robert Griffin III. Each team was docked $20,000, according to Albert Breer of the NFL Network.

The Redskins were likely fined for not providing accurate and timely information regarding a concussion suffered by Griffin in the team's Week 5 loss to Atlanta. Griffin left the game, with the Redskins reporting that he was shaken up and could possibly return to the game. In a postgame press conference, head coach Mike Shanahan said Griffin sustained a concussion.

The Bills were fined for leaving Williams off of the injury report, despite his complaints of an injured wrist. Even though Williams fully participated in practice, the Bills were still required to list him as an injured player and update his status throughout the week, even if he was guaranteed to play on Sunday.
