I changed my last name to Shanahan, and now I'm the new OL Coach.

Kevin is a closet Saints fan.

I just realized the TEXANS are playing the BENGALS.

The Redskins are at home. Sigh, I’ll just watch the Jersey Shore until the games come on.

I see it as more cushion for the pushin'

Well I'm not pulling for Houston but I think they have the edge

I think that game comes down to rushing yards and Houston wins in that department. I’m picking the Lions over the Saints too, because I get the feeling the Lions defense is better than New Orleans’. Also, that “Who dat” crap has gotten on my nerves, and they’ve had their championship recently. They need to step aside for the Lions now.

N.O. is favored by 11

Anyone else think the Lions might win this game?

Washington Sports = Depressing

Our teams never have a shot the Capitals is our best shot and they ain’t to hot.

by trueredskinm on Jan 7, 2012 4:01 PM EST via mobile reply actions

Actually

Looks like the Nationals might be our best shot if the Caps don’t get consistent.

:\

by The Agent C 83 on Jan 7, 2012 4:28 PM EST up reply actions

Yea

But they still need a few pieces to contend.

by trueredskinm on Jan 7, 2012 7:18 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

I think I'll stick to ahoustongiant's posts for my info

He seems pretty on the ball.

Plus, with our bitches the jints in the playoffs, it’s like 2 for 1!

JJ Watt snatched that thing.

Great Pick 6 for the Texans before the half.

by HogHunter on Jan 7, 2012 6:02 PM EST reply actions

We basically traded

TJ Yates for Aldrick Robinson and Markus White. I like White, but I think I’d rather have the (backup) QB.

Where do they teach you to talk like this? In some Panama City "Sailor wanna hump-hump" bar, or is it getaway day and your last shot at his whiskey? Sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.

Dalton's arm is terrible.

He almost looks like one of those Spurrier QB’s or the late career of Mark Brunell, but he’s on the money with the short stuff.

Redskins @RGIII - 2012

by Copious 1 on Jan 7, 2012 7:21 PM EST reply actions

Dalton has been used as so many examples of a 2nd round gem.

Of course he is a rookie, but he’s had a full year with talent around him. I don’t know if yesterday was a bad game or he was just exposed to be truly secondary talent. He made several very bad throws and decisions. He took huge sacks by retreating instead of eating the seven yard loss. I feel much more weary of the draft a QB in the 2nd argument.

You're never wrong if you argue correctly

by TheSportsManager on Jan 8, 2012 8:37 AM EST up reply actions

Dalton is not very good

He is solid sure but he is basically going to win as many games as a Rex is. Anyone who thinks if we had Dalton we would have our QB is silly .

I wonder what happened with Cedric Benson

The Bengals run game was MIA when it mattered

by aFan4Life on Jan 7, 2012 7:27 PM EST reply actions

watching this texans' o-line is a thing of beauty

Hopefully we can get this kind of unity and continuity on our line next year

As for me, all I know is that I know nothing.

yeah, they've adjusted well to the Bengals attempt to disrupt their blocking scheme

in the first couple of series the Bengals didn’t do too bad but at this point they are totally gassed.

by aFan4Life on Jan 7, 2012 7:35 PM EST up reply actions

yea that's going to be a hell of a matchup

2 teams that can run the ball and stop the run

Looks like I'll be 1-0 so far in my predictions.

grats

but before you break your arm patting yourself on the back remember that the weekend is young! :P

Don't worry, when it comes to non-Skins football predictions I'm deadly.

Also to HH- If I get all of my picks right, can I be a writer for next weeks game?

I see it as more cushion for the pushin'

by iH8dallas on Jan 7, 2012 7:51 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

grats to the Texans

Although I can’t get excited by their offense with Yates at the helm. He should buy steak dinners for Foster and the OL.

That's what we're building in Washington my man.

Just wait.

good question

on a wholly subjective note

I was really pissed when gregg williams didn’t get the head coaching position after joe gibbs suddenly retired

by atark001 on Jan 7, 2012 8:37 PM EST via mobile reply actions

not going to say it didn't surprise me

Cuz it seems as if his personality would have been abrasive with snyder et. Al, but he would have been the best to continue on gibbs momentum while adapting to the evolution of the nfl

As for me, all I know is that I know nothing.

There was gibbs momentum?

I believe so

We’d made the playoffs and had a good sense of “team”. I think that’s what fueled zorn’s good first half of his first year as coach

As for me, all I know is that I know nothing.
*Socrates*

by atark001 on Jan 7, 2012 8:55 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

yeah

we had a good team identity but we needed a QB and the OL was getting old. But still I think Williams could have done a lot more than Zorn did.

by aFan4Life on Jan 7, 2012 9:41 PM EST up reply actions

good point

The o-line was old, and had no depth. But I think zorns offense was enitirely too simplistic

As for me, all I know is that I know nothing.
*Socrates*

by atark001 on Jan 7, 2012 9:44 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

and to argue againsy my own point apparently zorn was williams' choice as OC

But maybe he could have focused him and made him better

As for me, all I know is that I know nothing.
*Socrates*

by atark001 on Jan 7, 2012 9:49 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

I'd forgotten about that

Zorn might have come around but I think he just didn’t have enough experience to be HC.

by aFan4Life on Jan 7, 2012 9:50 PM EST up reply actions

I wonder if the offense was simplified so the QB could handle it

I don’t know that, it’s just conjecture but you never know.

Now Zorn is in KC and their offense had tanked but I think most of that was losing Jamaal Charles.

by aFan4Life on Jan 7, 2012 9:53 PM EST up reply actions

I don't know

I think he was entirely overwhelmed here in DC, and I personally think blache didn’t like him. But apparently flacco faught for him when he was QB coach of the ravens. He might have had a chance to be sucessful if he was coached better ha

As for me, all I know is that I know nothing.
*Socrates*

by atark001 on Jan 7, 2012 10:05 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

interesting

Flacco seems to have stalled in his development for sure.

Drew Brees is a dick.

I hate him because of the lockout nonsense, and to a lesser extent the birthmark on his face.
