The "Current" RG3 Will Not Win A Superbowl

Based upon the Superbowl winning QB's many used their legs to help, but not any of them were run first QB's. After watching RG3 play this year, he is a run first type QB, like Randal Cunningham, Michael Vick, Cam Newton. I saw many games Cam lost this year, because he looked to run. How many times have we seen Vick knocked out of a game for trying to make a play. We say the game is changing, not until one of those guys win a Superbowl. Otherwise, stay in the pocket run through your progressions and then run to save your life or keep the momentum going.

I'm not sure why many are so smitten with RG3. I think he is a great guy and a great athlete, but not a pure pocket passer. Sometimes athleticism gets in the way of patience in the pocket. For that reason, I do not believe the Shanny's will pick RG3. If they move up, it will be for Luck. Unless of course they believe they can improve his accuracy and change his "run first" mentality.

Just look at the list of winners, all of them stood in the pocket and pitched it around. Steve McNair almost ran to a Superbowl. He was just yards shy of beating a pure pocket passer in Kurt Warner. And yes I'm sure you can go through the list and try to prove one or two of them actually ran to extend the play. That's not the point, many of them did. But they also had the ability to win the game with their arm, with the exception of Trent Dilfer.
