After much contemplation, i've decided that we need to do whatever it takes to get RG3 this year. I, at one time, was on the trade back bandwagon, give Rex more weapons bandwagon. No longer am i on this wagon. I want a mobile qb, who can pick up first downs with his legs. Rex CAN NOT do that. Teams sit back in coverage with NO thought of Rex taking off for a first down. We need a qb that at least gives the oppositions D a THREAT of running. Rex is one dimensional. I say we trade 1sts with Minnesota and they take our 2nd.
Here is my mock:
1. RG3, qb, Baylor
3. Nate Potter, ol, boise
4. Brandon Boykin, cb, georgia
4. Levi Adcock, ol, okstate
5. Juron Criner, wr, arizona
6. Harrison Smith, s, notre dame
7. Ethan Johnson, de, notre dame
Butcher my mock all you want. Argue about players not being available or not liking certain guys. I just tried to fit needs with round projection/bpa. This post is for discussing the fact that if this franchise wants a mobile QUARTERBACK, RG3 is the man. If this franchise wants a mobile WIDE RECEIVER, then lets draft BLACKMON, not Tannehill. For those of you who say, "trade back, add more picks, get Tannehill" : Tannehill, in my opinion, is not even an OPTION for this team. He is more hyped and unproven than any of the qb prospects. Give me Landry Jones before Tannehill. Griffin's mobility and accuracy are unbelievable. Id much rather have RG3 and get weapons through FA, than draft Tannehill and get an extra 2nd rounder (by trading back).
TANNEHILL IS THE 2ND GIRL YOU ASK TO THE PROM, BECAUSE THE 1ST ONE SAID "NO".
Thoughts on how having a MOBILE qb could change the whole dynamic of this offense?
