Once again, here are are all of our picks this week. To my surprise, I'm the only one that took the Giants. Here's a stat for you. Eli Manning is 4-0 on the road in the playoffs in his career. A win today would set a NFL record for QBs. A stat that makes me nervous though is that the Niners are 9-0 against the spread at home this year.

As for Pats vs Ravens, Ravens are 4-4 against the spread this year on the road (4-4 straight up as well). Oddly, the Ravens are 5-1 against the spread vs teams with a winning record. Pats have covered 10 out of 16 games this season, and NE has covered the last 3 teams they've played with a winning record. The Pats rushing D is ranked 17th in the NFL while the Ravens boast 2nd best rush D and 4th best pass D. That's good enough for me to take the 7 points.

I certainly don't want Patriot fans to win it all

The smug cloud from Boston could trigger a mass extinction.

i know right, that smug hazard level is already high

Love the Ravens

Even to win straight up. I’ve flipped back and forth on the NFC game, but I’m taking the Giants.

I wanted the Skins to draft Torrey Smith.

I see it as more cushion for the pushin'

Brilliant blocking in the red zone.

They run well behind Solder (I think TW would be a brilliant RT, but that’s another argument for another time).

Logan Mankins is a beast. Good block from Welker too.

You just knew that after that face-mask penalty, they were giving it back to Green Elllis again. Great drive from the smug, insufferable tw@ts.

A WR that can break a tackle. Must be nice.

Anybody else hate the Ravens and hoping they lose, so their fans can STFU and stop talking to us Redskins fans?

Dear Passionate fan, I know you are passionate, but please reply with a logical answer or I will ignore you.

agreed but they are playing the pats

and yes, their fans are annoying but I think it’s cuz they have a lil bro complex to our big brother-ness so i brush it off.

flacco

he seems to give up on plays too early rather then trying to extend them. obviously when he has time he can be a solid qb. i guess thats been known.

Neither QB had anything to do with who won this game.

In fact’s I’d say Flacco played a better game than Brady. That game was won entirely by the Defense and Special Teams.

i wanna see jints against the pats

i think they really have their number.

Evans inability to hold on to the football lost the Ravens the game.

Kind of sad seeing when watching kickers choke in the playoffs. Reminds me off the former colts kicker choke job.

I still don't understand that last drive...

The Patriots had Edelman on Boldin the whole drive. WTF is up with that?? The Ravens picked on him the whole drive and the Pats got away with it because of the missed kick.

Now I can understand if you’re low on DBs to stick a WR back there, but to put him on the best WR?? Really? I’m annoyed this will get overlooked because of the missed kick…

by UkRedskin on Jan 22, 2012 6:23 PM EST reply actions

yeah and someone will defend it and call Belicheck a genuis just because of the end result

Both have terrible defenses.

That really felt

Like how the Skins would lose a game like that. That’s how it feels Baltimore, minus AFC Championship and all.

Stephan, that is a funny observation...

Jeff, so you are to blame for pushing Cundiff’s kick EXTREMELY WIDE LEFT. It must be so cool having such power. I think I saw you in the movie trailer for “Chronicle”.

Just some light humor…

I love how Carlos Rogers is getting lit up

Giants throwing at him when they need a first down. I don’t care if he made Pro Bowl b/c he still sucks. Giants remember him from his pathetic Skins days.

excuses, excuses, excuses...

what, were you guys roomates at Auburn? He never lived up to his draft status here (he wasn’t horrible, that’s the best I can say about him), that is why he couldn’t find ANYONE to give him the money and now he is reborn? Doubt it.

I hope the 9ers don’t give him what he thinks he is worth…

I think the Giants still win but good for Alex Smith

He went from a classic bust to a solid respectable NFL starting QB. Well done Mr. Smith.

Agree about Alex Smith

Please tell me Kyle is watching this and taking notes! I hope Mike is smacking him on the back of the head.

name a qb on our roster that can pass or a receiver who can catch

QB....TBD, WR...we got cheated

With the injury to Hankerson. Don’t forget it takes a few years for WRs to really start to produce. Paul and Robinson show promise. Hank comes back and we will see.

i can live with developing wide receivers

but i will not stomach another season with rex or beck

by vjessejamesv on Jan 22, 2012 9:25 PM EST up reply actions

Don't think that will be the case

Shanahan has his plan, it’s working, I think the QB is the focus this year. Trade away extra picks and get his man. Plenty of cap space for FAs. I think we have seen rock bottom and are starting to move up out of this hole.

yeah

but three years at best. what about the long term. if Payton comes here then what does our draft position look like next year.

by vjessejamesv on Jan 22, 2012 9:48 PM EST up reply actions

It will be hurt, I think.

He will bring more wins, but a ring? He’ll get us to the middle of the pack where we’ll have to trade away the future to get a top QB in the draft.

I am going to say the Patriots win the Superbowl this time, their defense is getting hot at the right time. Also I don’t want to hear Giants fans shit-talking.
