Hogs Haven on 106.7 The Fan Today at 1:30 PM EST

Tune in at 1:30 this afternoon (EST) on 106.7 The Fan as I discuss the draft, Peyton Manning and other ludicrous offseason storylines with Danny Rouhier.

I will try to sum up all of your opinions on these matters in a way that makes it sound like everything was my idea.

Here's a link to listen to the station online.

I'll be back in Phoenix next month by the way

so if Tomaso’s is a bad idea, tell me what bar we are drinking at. You are still out there right?

Absolutely

Depends on your timetable? Plenty of microbreweries in the area, oddly enough…when are you in town?

hey, if you get a venue such as that...

I can’t blame you at all. All I know is half of the bloggers here at HH promote the trade up strategy, we just didn’t get an invitation to go on live radio….

Apparantly I'm not allowed to listen live

in this country, will it be online anywhere at a later date?

Ken

Heard the whole thing. Nice job. Not sure why you went off on Peyton Manning tangent when asked about Matt Flynn, but I’m assuming you had rehearsed some and that question threw you off perhaps? Otherwise nicely done. If we don’t get Matt Flynn, I’m starting to believe we should at least consider trading up for luck or RGIII. Of course we’d have to get a reasonable price to make it worth it, but that prices is yet unknown. Because the #6 pick is going to be one of the elite players in this draft, we may get a fairly decent price to move up.

Remember

Us listeners are not privy to “off-air cues” so it sounded like you were talking about peyton manning when specifically asked about Matt Flynn. Perhaps a transition from from Matt Flynn to Peyton manning would have been in order. Just trying to give you some helpful criticism.

However

If you were auditioning to be a politician, then answering a completely different question than asked would be a major +

Matt Flynn

Remember as long as Snyder has his pen and checkbook in hand, any free agent is a possibility here. I wouldn’t be so quick to discount the Flynn possibility.

I would not bemoan a trade up

I just think that we should be targeting Luck as much as Griffin. I would still prefer a trade down obviously but I am not willing to fight to the death about it. As opposed to drafting a starting tackle in this draft, which I am ready to fight to the death about.

I agree Ken.

If you’re going to go all in for Griffin then why not go all in for Luck? The difference wouldn’t be astronomical.

However, I do disagree about drafting a tackle. Willie Smith looks promising but needs to polish up his game,.. he could be a possible starter at RT opposite of Trent or vice-versa. Drafting #6 with that position wouldn’t be of much value in my opinion. Guard would make more sense to me if we were going to go offensive line. I would rather pick a CB or WR… someone who will make an immediate difference with ball contact.
