Is RG3 really all that? - Real Redskins
There are many Redskins fans who truly believe that the future of the franchise rests on the shoulders of Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III. It is easy to see why when you look at his performance during his 2011 Heisman Trophy season and see him interviewed. His athletic ability, arm, and intelligence are all readily evident.
Armstrong Hopes to Return New, Improved
One year after breaking through with 44 catches for 871 yards and three touchdowns, Armstrong posted just seven catches for 103 yards and two touchdowns last season.

Got my season ticket invoice for 2012 yesterday....
I really wish they let us vote on what to do in the draft and free agency on the form when you send it in.

I'm a big fan of Orsen Charles and Dontari Poe...
I know they don’t fall in the range where it would be feasible for us to use a pick on them without trading back and adding selections, but adding someone like Poe would have a major impact on defense. We would have one of the better Dlines in the leagu
"Honey Badger Don't Care"
one interesting NT option could be Josh Chapman from Alabama
He’s got a torn ACL so his stock is falling big time, but he could be a great 5th or 6th round buy low candidate
Steveospeak - Content Manager of Fanspeak.com
Wow
You think he will fall that far? I thought he was projected to be at least 2nd rounder.

he was until they found out that he played the last 7 games of the year with an ACL tear
he’s going to miss all the workouts and Senior Bowl. And he might not even be ready at training camp. So he’ll fall pretty far.
Steveospeak - Content Manager of Fanspeak.com
He would be a nice addition
to the line if healthy

agreed, def. worth a late round risk

WOW!!!
I can only imagine the pain that guy must have been under. People with ACL tears have trouble walking let alone planting your feet and forcing a 310lbs monster back 5 yards.
yeah that is pretty impressive

the guy who wrote the RG3 piece is a total idiot
He didn’t even mention RG3’s two biggest attributes.
1. He has olympic caliber speed
2. He wants to go to law school
4-0 in the Divisional Round of the playoffs
" His athletic ability, arm, and intelligence are all readily evident."
I think that quote kind of covers it. I Actually like Tandler, but I’m a big believer in RGIII I really hope the Skins get him.
Yea, I like Tandler as well
his writing is some of the more objective and logical I’ve seen out there on the Redskins
As for me, all I know is that I know nothing.

I agree as well.
However, I feel of all the beat reporters, he is one of the least “in the know.” I think his stuff is pretty general in nature and never seems to have any scoops.
None of the Redskins beat reporters do any actual journalism.
I see it as more cushion for the pushin'
I am a pretty big fan of Grant Paulsen
He is probably the closest to a radio journalist you can actually get
Plus, I've met him at bdubs during the saints, packers game this season
and he seemed like a really cool, down to earth dude. He hung out and talked to my friends and I for a few minutes.
I minored in journalism and what these guys do are lazy opinion articles.
I see it as more cushion for the pushin'
I'm not that big a fan of him...he seems more in the line of sensationalism than journalism
but he does get a lot of scoops
As for me, all I know is that I know nothing.

Being the quickest to tweet something doesn't make a journalist.
But now I just sound like a hater.

very true
which is why these daily slops are good…we’re able to get POVs from all over the place, and then form our own judgments accordingly

That piece that Steinberg mentioned was the best piece of Redskins "journalism" I've seen in a while.
I see it as more cushion for the pushin'
How is that journalism?
He is reporting on something someone else overheard at a party once… Hardly classifies as journalism. However, you are probably more experienced than I am, so I’ll defer to you.
What I mean by journalism is getting close to the story.
Most articles you read are opinions, from people like me, who have never played football.
If someone gets something like what Steinberg referred to, I trust it more.
It was at a party. The guy schmoozes with DC Sports owners and there is a good chance he was drinking.
I’ll take that over a canned answer from Bruce Allen or Mike Shanahan at a press conference.
I see it as more cushion for the pushin'
True
but I don’t want my news to come through the filter of the six degrees of Kevin Bacon first… The way he’s described how he stumbled upon the knowledge leaves tons of room for error IMO. There is no way someone like Adam Schefter would report that because there is no real way to vet the statement someone else overheard.
That's true.
However, the stories that Adam Schefter reports aren’t secrets. They come from press releases, sent to ESPN and he’s the first to read it off of his Blackberry.
Trust me, the Eagles wanted people to know they signed Nnamdi.
The Redskins do not want people to know whether or not they have picked a QB. That’s why I like that story.
I see it as more cushion for the pushin'
Not all the time
A lot of what he reports is through contacts within organizations. He is pretty good with Redskins information due to his connections with Shanahan and so forth. He did ghost write his book if I’m not mistaken.
Though I agree, he does go off of press releases sometimes.
He did. But Shanahan isn't telling him anything until he's ready.
That Washingtonian article was cool because it’s almost unbelievable.
In my experience, that’s where the true stories usually come from.
I see it as more cushion for the pushin'
It'll be interesting
I look forward to hearing who they select; It seems pretty certain. I wonder if they have some sort of deal in place with another team. From the way it was conveyed, the person making the bold proclamation seems to be pretty confident and certain the person they have in mind will absolutely be selected by the Skins and no one else.
That's what I'm thinking.
I imagine there is some kind of gentlemen’s agreement in the works.
What is interesting about Bruce Allen as a GM is his brother. I bet owners like doing business with him because you never know when a senator can come in handy.
I see it as more cushion for the pushin'
Though, who knows if George Allen will win again
In all honesty, I haven’t kept up with that race as much as I usually do to know what his chances are like…
Fun fact: I had a few classes at JMU with George Allen’s daughter. She was a Journalism major if I’m not mistaken.
That's cool. I bet she actually does know a lot about what goes on with the Skins.
My cousin went out on a few dates with Fred Smith’s (owner of FedEx) daughter.
They have owner’s box seats and I begged and pleaded for him to try to get me up there.

Where do they teach you to talk like this? In some Panama City "Sailor wanna hump-hump" bar, or is it getaway day and your last shot at his whiskey? Sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.
Absolutely not

Interesting piece from Steinberg.

pretty much worthless...
it said nothing. OF COURSE, WHOMEVER THEY GET, THE FANBASE WILL BE ELATED!
But, it could mean so many things. Perhaps, they have already decided to trade up, bring in Manning, whatever. I did not find the article to be ANYTHING.
Manning coming here is unlikely.
But if he were healthy and still had a fire to play QB, signing him for reasonable money could be very beneficial to the Redskins, assuming they don’t draft RG3 of course.
Nope
It’s gonna be Luck. Irsay’s been wanting Dick Clark for years, so Danny’s gonna add DCP to the #6 pick in a trade. To sweeten the pot, he’s gonna trade his celebrity BFF Tom Cruise for Irsay’s celebrity BFF Rob Lowe.
