Hogs Haven Divisional Round Picks

Last week the Hogs Haven crew turned out to be extremely mediocre with our Wild Card picks. Everyone finished 2-2, while our buddy from across the pond brought up the rear going 1-3. Kevin was the only person to pick the Houston, while Ken obviously went to church Sunday and was the only person to pick Denver. This week we have three lone wolves:

Saints @ 49ers
Saturday, 4:30 PM, Fox
Broncos @ Patriots
Saturday, 8 PM, CBS
Texans @ Ravens
Sunday, 1 PM, CBS
Giants @ Packers
Sunday, 4:30 PM, FOX
Parks (2-2)

Steve's line is solid

But Ukredskin’s has zazz.
What is zazz? Zing! Zork! Kapowza! Call it what you want, in any language it spells mazuma in the bank!

No Bazinga?

Bazinga definitely reserved for the Giants pick

Ukredskin taking the Saints and the Texans cornered the market on zazz this go-round.

I went a horrible 1-3 last week, but what the hey

I think the AFC will play out as its suppose to with the ravens and patriots winning…but I have a feeling there is going to be some upsets on the NFC side…

I’m going with the 49ers over the Saints (the saint’s offense outdoors and on the road is not nearly as impressive as it is in a dome or at home)…I look at the saints/titans game as a formula that the 49ers can win with (even though the titans lost)

and as much as my gut tells me go with the giants, I’m going to go with the packers at home (I think this is going to be one of the best games this weekend)

As for me, all I know is that I know nothing.

SF, DEN, BAL, NY

I see it as more cushion for the pushin'

You picked the Falcons last week, so you're banned from taking the Giants this week

Picks

DEN 27 NE 21—New England’s defense doesn’t show up
HOU 24 BAL 21—-Flacco lays an egg
SF 31 NO 28—SF proves that “defense wins championships” isn’t dead
GB 38 NY 21—Aaron Rodgers goes down with injury, Flynn comes in and shreds NY’s secondary. He is so impressive that Cleveland decides he is their QB of the future and leaves RGIII for us on draft day

Out of Respect

of Tebow winning me a nice chunk of change last week, I’ll have to put faith in him again

by travisjh86 on Jan 13, 2012 12:43 PM EST reply actions

I think the pats win this one

belichick is known for scheming against tendencies…had the broncos played the pats last weekend they may have had a better chance, because they seemed to break from their own tendencies…but now that they put that all on tape, I have a feeling the patriots will win this

As for me, all I know is that I know nothing.

I was three and one last week

I miss on Cincinnati.

49ers (running game, great defense, home field advantage, game over)
Packers (the Giants? Didn’t we sweep them?)
Broncos (Steelers were exposed last week, this week is new England’s turn)
ravens (running game, great defense, game over)

Not only that...

but two games are being played at the same time & broadcast on the same network. Probably an East Coast bias thing

Could the Patriots weak defense and Cam Cameron’s surprisingly frequent refusal to give the ball to Ray Rice bring Tim Tebow to the Superbowl? Jesus that’s surprising!

Did you see the Tim Tebow episode of sportscenter yesterday? I can just imagine Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Matt Stafford, and Eli Manning sitting watching it wondering why on earth an average quarterback with a brilliant defense on their team got his own episode of sportscenter.

Yea its just a tad ridiculous

Denver has an average quarterback

But they have a team that has gone all in and is not lacking in talent.

New England is going to be shown for what they are… soft
John Fox is a much better coach than he gets credit for and will find a way to put his players in a position to win. Make no mistake, Denver is the better TEAM, but they will have to be flawless to beat New England…it is not all about Tebow
