Peyton Mannings neck injury is an incredible story. Las Vegas oddsmakers say that their is not a more important player on any team. The Colts would have been a 1.5 point favorite against Houston. Instead they are a 8.5 point underdog. That is a whopping 10 point spread from missing one player. That is unprecedented in Las Vegas.

The Indianapolis Colts without Peyton Manning becomes the worst team in football this year. I don't even think it's close. Their new starter was retired. Have you seen Kerry Collins with his grey beard. Holy Smokes. Their backup, some dude named Painter, had about the worst Quarterback performance I have ever seen, against the Redskins, in pre-season.

31 out of 32 football teams will simply put in another quarterback to run the plays pretty much the same way if the Starting Quarterback is not available. The one exception, The Indianapolis Colts. Peyton Manning is the Offensive Coordinator and the Play Caller. He brings his team up to the line and then according to his read will adjust and call the play from the line of scrimmage. We have all seen it a thousand times. It is a work of beauty.

Kerry Collins will not be doing the same thing as Peyton Manning. The entire Offense will change. We will find out if the Wide Receivers and Running Backs are talented or is it a product of playing with Peyton Manning. How is Joseph Addai and the other running backs going to perform when in the first time in their Colts history they will see an 8 man front, designed to stop the run and Make Kerry Collins beat them through the air? Thats' going to be nasty.

The Indianapolis Colts picked a great time to have Peyton out. Not only is Andrew Luck coming out next year but a couple of blue chip quarterbacks to go with him.
