Albert Haynesworth walked in today: he looked like Ted Washington. He looked bigger this year than he did a year ago.

Probably just took out a stopwatch and saw how long it took him to get up after falling on his face
Under 10 seconds…big improvement from last year! He passed!
I laugh a little to myself,
only because the national media just throws praise on Bellicheat. “oh, they will fix Albert”, or “Bill knows what he’s doin with problem children”, etc. I have to laugh because, they aren’t paying attention. Al is a bad person. Everyone else the Pats “fixed” has just been a little tough to deal with, malcontents, what have you. Fat Albert is a genuine bad person, makes a path of destruction every where he walks. Can’t fix that, I don’t care how good of a coach you are. He’s a football coach, not a life coach.
What the shit

Any photos of Fat Albert from the Patriots camp for compairison?
A Redskin Potato
Here is Fatty Albie as an Unpatriotic Patriot

Here he was in DC last year

My eye is telling me that Albert looked like a normal dude last year as compared with this year…
I can't really tell much of a difference.
If you want to think he looks fatter, then sure, you probably will think he looks fatter.
Me either. Ten to 15 lbs increase at the most.

10 to 15 lbs is a lot of weight put on in a matter of months though
There isn’t an extreme difference, but you can certainly see a difference just by looking at how much rounder his face in the first pic, compared to his face in the pic right below.
Ten to 15 pounds isn't much
when you weigh 335# to begin with. That’s less than 5% of his total bodyweight. He can lose that much weight in a sauna in a couple of hours.
Well yeah
He could lose water weight in a sauna, but as soon as he starts eating or drinking again (which is inevitable, especially for him) he’ll gain the weight right back in a matter of hours, which obviously means he’s right back where he was.
You're right, I did disregard the main point
But regardless, gaining 10-15 lbs of weight for someone his size isn’t a significant difference. But gaining 10-15 lbs of FAT (which is what he gained) is a big difference for anyone.
But you may not notice it considering how large he is
if you can notice a difference in him, then he’s probably gained well over 20#. I’m not arguing that he hasn’t gained weight—in all likelihood he has—I’m just saying that I can’t really tell by the pictures that were posted.
Maybe I'm studying the pictures too hard
But I can unquestionably see a difference between Haynesworth in the first pic, and Haynesworth in the second pic. Most notably in his face and his stomach area.
But anyway, back to the Redskins……..
You can't be serious!
He looks WAY bigger. Visible difference on a guy that big is more than 10-15 lbs. Remember, he’s big and tall. He’s flat out outta shape. Good luck getting 25-30 full effort reps outta that guy.

For some reason
This popped into my head:

I think the whole shirt off thing just accentuates how big Mr. Smith is.

I said this
The other day. The first time they showed him at practice, i thought he looked bigger than he ever looked with us.
is gano gone?
seeing as how we signed shayne graham who is known for his accuracy and was 100% last season, will we cut gano?
No, it's a straight up competition at kicker.

would we go into the ason with 2 kickers?
by redskinsfan89 on Aug 1, 2011 4:53 PM EDT up reply actions
I seriously doubt that happens
Whoever wins the kicking competition will be the kicker for the year more than likely. Unless one starts to suck really bad during the season and we bring in another kicker.
Absolutely not

Look for some more moves at defensive end
“I touched on the defensive line situation a little bit yesterday but it is worth going into in some more depth.
The trade of Vonnie Holliday follows the trades of Jeremy Jarmon and Albert Haynesworth and the release of Phillip Daniels. The moves leave the Redskins with three legitimate NFL defensive ends in Jarvis Jenkins, Adam Carriker, and Stephen Bowen. Besides undrafted free agent Jeff Stehle, the only other defensive ends on the roster are Joe Joseph, and Darrion Scott.
The Redskins will carry four or five defensive ends. I am not sure if they would ship Holliday out of town if the only options they have in mind are Joseph, whose NFL experience consists of one game with the Redskins last year, and Scott, who was out of football for two years before playing in two games for the Redskins in 2010.
They could keep three nose tackles in Barry Cofield, Anthony Bryant, and rookie Chris Neild as Cofield has the capability to slide out and play end. Still, if they keep a total of eight defensive linemen—Jim Haslett likes to rotate his d-linemen as much as any coach—that would mean that Joseph or Scott would get a spot.
Perhaps they also are looking at the possibility of putting Ryan Kerrigan at end in passing situations. There has been talk of him doing that ever since he was drafted last April. They might be "counting" him as a defensive end and saving a roster spot.
Or they could be planning to bring in another defensive lineman. Kedric Golston, who started 13 games at end last year, is a free agent. They could come to a deal with him or another similar player out there.
Keep an eye on the position over the next few days. I wouldn’t look for a big acquisition there but they are likely to add a veteran or two."

I definately expect to see both Kerrigan and Orakpo in the dirt situationally.

They might re-sign Chris Wilson, and/or keep Jackson as a 4-3 rush end. Cofield should see time at end as well. I’m hoping and expecting to see a bunch of fronts and different looks.
he would cost way to much to bring in for.....
just nickel and dime packages. really only a four man front defensive end.

There has been no drama here in New England so far involving him.
The media reaction is that he isn’t as fat as they expected. Fans and media seem excited to have him on board. They know what an ass he is and that he will always be an ass, but they see it as a can’t lose situation…worse case is they cut him and lose a late draft pick. It seems the Pats may be moving to a 4-3, at least that is what they have been seen to be practicing lately. I really hope Belichick isn’t easy on him and treats him like the douche bag he is.
there wasn't any here in Fatties fist year...
See right now he thinks he has a clean slate… Not true… I mean it has to be humbling to him… He was the $100 mill man 2 years ago… This year he was traded pretty much for a “Ham Sandwich”… SAD… really
Look at his cheeks. they are more round than last years.. Also remember he was “working OUt” a full month before training camp last year… Has there been an official weight released yet?
