Jared Gaither: possible Redskins target?

After my article on Cullen and Kris Jenkins (BTW Kris Jenkins just retired, so there's not much hope to see him wear a Redskins jersey anytime soon), I decided to concentrate on the OL, which is possibly the Skins' biggest need (with DL).

One name that keeps popping up around the web as a possible target is Jared Gaither, the former (?) Ravens tackle. My priority would be to re-sign Jammal Brown (I think it's the best decision), but if it doesn't work out, then I think Gaither would be a solid Plan B.

The guy is young (25 years old), has some good starting experience (namely, playoffs) and plays well. The only problem I have with him is that there are reports saying that his work ethic is sub-par, and he has some injury issues as well (kind of looks like our own OT, Trent Williams, doesn't it?) I also believe his age and starting experience will be appealing to NFL teams, so there's a fair chance he will command a big payday. I wouldn't get into a bidding war to get his services because there will be other OT's on the market (Ryan Harris, Tyson Clabo, Willie Colon ...), but I think his upside is to be considered. With him and Williams, our bookends would be set for the next 8 years.

I'm kind of mixed on this, but eventually I think it could prove to be a solid decision. What do you think? Would he be a good addition to the Redskins, or would you go seek help elsewhere?
