Hogs Haven's Where Y'at Map
In these slow times I thought it'd be interesting to put together a Google Map of where everyone lives. So, I've created a Google Maps where each of us can add a Placemark of where we live (it doesn't have to be your street, you can just put it on your town). This will probably come pretty handy for the road trips and what not.
Here's how it works...
I've gone ahead and started a publicly shared Google map called Hogs Haven Family. You can access it easily by clicking here To add yourself to the map, however, you'll need to sign in to your Google account. If you don't have a Google account, I highly recommend starting one so you can access all of the other wonderful features that Google has to offer. They're taking over the world so you might as well get on board or be left behind.
Once you're there and signed in, click on the Edit button.
Now that you're in edit mode, zoom into the part of the globe where you are located and select the placemark button.
Then place the placemark at your location. If you're concerned about privacy, you certainly don't need to place it exactly on top of your house. Just make sure it's in your town or neighborhood. Once it's placed, type your member name or actual name in the title box.
If that's all you want to include, click "OK" and you're done. If you want to add a little more flare, you can upload your profile picture or any other picture and add any other description you'd like. PLEASE DON'T DELETE ANYONE ELSE'S PLACEMARKS.
An interactive copy of the map can be seen below and should be live updating, including everyone's placemarks as they actually place them. Hopefully, by the end of the day, our map will be populated with lots of your placemarks.
My fingers are crossed for CincyBoy to add his placemark. I wonder if he changed his handle to CincyTween.
You can view the WORLD VIEW of the map here...looks like we already got Europe on board.

I hope it's cool I changed everyone to red, we can't be looking blue for a Skins blog.
Except for JimmyK he’s green now.

If you zoom out so that you can see everyone, it looks like Hoghunter is protecting you all from me.

Yeah, but you missed. You’re way out by Hamburg, and if anyone burned that area down nobody would even notice. Oh wait…

Just make mine look like an old bald dude looking grumpy.
That’s fitting.
I thought about whether I should put the marker on just the general area I live, or where I work, but I don’t want any … um… folks targeting me or my family because of where I work.

Prob Parks
I’d add it back in.

I just moved to Kensington, MD
from Woodbridge, VA because I am getting married (10 days from today… ::beads of sweat::) and my fiance works in Baltimore.

Somehow, that sounds particularly dirty.
A Bieber Bomb. Do I need to find someone from EOD to dispose of it?

i tend to look at the old jokes as part of HH
Some things are just within the makeup of this community. Like Cincyboy, LJP’s youtube videos, your Fedora, Scott’s sporks etc.
If you’ve never heard these jokes, then you haven’t been here quite long enough

I Highly recommend
The Yamaha Zuma 125, great machine..
by DoWork on May 27, 2011 3:39 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
I was looking at a Jonway 150cc
I’m sure it’s not top of the line, but the one I saw had a pretty large frame(I’m 6’ 3"), and it was burgundy!
So, you recommend this DoWork?
They look fun as hell, and it got it up to 65mph when I took it for a spin. I’ll prob us it in the summer/fall to go around town to football practice and stuff. Lots of people have them up here. I just don’t want my players making fun of me for riding a scooter.
I got Tiger Blood running through my veins!
Skip the scooter.
Find a three or four year old used cruiser with low miles. You can get a Star 650 cc for not much more scratch than a new scooter (Star = Yamaha). You’ll still get 40-50 mpg and have no image issues.
I absolutely love it
The Zuma looks good, it’s not european looking or anything, people joke sometimes, but at 85 mpg it’s not hard to defend. I take it all over the island. It’s a 125, gets up to 60mph. I spend about $5 every week and a half on gas, it’s pretty much paying for itself

Hey Kev,
Is Ken abstaining from the map exercise, or is he afraid my little dude would be all up on his marker?
And if you guys have any good recommendations about a place to grab a beer and watch a game (nba finals, etc.) let me know. I’d be down to meet up some time and hang out. I tried this place “Savannah’s” last week- it was a bit of a dive, but they had a bunch of tvs and cheap drinks.
by preppiejack on May 25, 2011 12:43 PM EDT up reply actions
oh yea, i know savannah's well
That was a Roy Rogers when I was little (grew up in Kensington). Continental subs is where it’s at….it’s going to be your go to spot for quick, cheap food. As for bars, yea, that’s it for Ktown.
Ken’s been in AZ all week so he’s certainly not checking fanposts. i’ll add him up to the map now.

Done... You guys are gonna have to "Zoom Out" to find where I live!
Redskins fans all over the globe!
Yes! I live in PR and go to DC 2 or 3 times a year!
I do a lot of travelling, and always try to plan my trips to cities and dates where we might play “away games”.
Done
Pretty interesting to see where everyone’s based!
there's another scotsman!
