Kyle was WR's coach w/ the Texans in 2006. The trade for Schaub was done in 2007. It was then that Kyle was promoted to QB coach. In 2008 He was promoted to OC. Kyle DOESN'T HAVE a protoypical QB. He inherited Schaub. So I believe that we are building Mike's team. The coaching staff is Mike's and the roster in Mike's. Yeah Kyle pulled for Grossman, but that is because he was fully indoctrinated into the system in a way that McNabb wasn't. It wasn't that Grossman was the best player, or that he most fit the system, he KNEW the offense. He may or may not be resigned, if he was that important he would be resigned. We ARE talking about Mike's QB.

Mike is building a team that HE can win with and that Kyle can win with when he leaves. To be certain, Mike is tutoring Kyle in the ways of the Shanahan. Will Kyle put his stamp on it? Sure. But the QB will be Mike's.
