Bernard Hopkins Takes Shots at Donovan McNabb

LAS VEGAS - JULY 30: Boxer Bernard Hopkins appears during the official weigh-in for WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez and Juan Diaz at the Mandalay Bay Events Center July 30 2010 in Las Vegas Nevada. Former IBF Middleweight Champ and Philadelphia native Bernard Hopkins is not a big fan of Donovan McNabb. Hopkins is currently training for rematch against Canadian fighter Jean Pascal and instead of talking about the fight Hopkins decided to rip the current Redskins QB. (Parks Note: Hopkins was ROBBED by French Canadian judges in the first fight! One of the best fights I've seen, it was a travesty!)

Hopkin's started out by implying that McNabb isn't black enough:

"Forget this...He's got a suntan. That's all."

"T.O. got [into] the boardroom and saw the way they talked to McNabb. Coming from where he [came from] -- that's strange to some white people, when a black man speaks," Hopkins said, according to the Daily News. He said Owens "[wasn't] used to this language. [He's] used to speaking up.' "

"Why do you think McNabb felt he was betrayed? Because McNabb is the guy in the house, while everybody else is on the field. He's the one who got the extra coat. The extra servings. 'You're our boy,' " Hopkins said, according to the Daily News, and patted a member of the media on the back to illustrate his point. "He thought he was one of them."

Bottom line: 1) Bernard Hopkins does not like Donnie Mac... 2) Man football news days are slow during the lockout, what I would do for an OTA!
