I owe Jeremy Jarmon an Apology

So, in the excitement of the draft party, picks, the radio show...the Kerrigan pick came in. I was generally happy for this pick (considering everyone seemed to want one of the average QBs instead), but in that instant my brain thought "Another DE...this means another talent Jeremy Jarmon will get pushed back behind the line." It really made little sense then and less sense now.

We've had the fortune of having Jeremy, Lorenzo Alexander, and Phillip Daniels on our radio show. These guys have been busting their ass and I truly believe our defense is in better shape than our rankings last year showed. Guys like Chris Wilson, LoAx, and Rob Jackson could be serviceable at OLB while we fix the ridiculously thin positions of OLine and NT. That was my thoughts.

Either way, Jarmon has nothing to lose with this pick and the tweet made no sense. My apologies...just trying to do right here with Jeremy.

I remember reading about Jarmon's play on the 3 front end.

That it was very impressive. He doesn’t have the prototypical size, but has very impressive movement.

bingo

Twitter + beer = disaster.

Gmail has an extension I enabled that when I send an email b/w 1am-5am, a popup box with 3 math questions comes up…if I cant answer them in 30 seconds I cant send the email. Its genius…twitter and SMS needs it.

I like that idea

I’ve always thought they should put breathalyzers on phones too. How many times would that have saved all of our asses?

Ha ha

now THAT’S some funny sh!t. Tell ‘em JJ. This just shows that it’s not just ATHLETES, but media moguls who get in trouble with the Twitter.

Seriously though, I think Jarmon is still in the mix. He’s better at DE. I think it’s either Chris Wilson or Rob Jackson that’ll be affected by this. And I REALLY think they should move the LoRax to ILB.

agreed on loax to ILB

he already does everything else why not!

Exactly

I don’t understand why they didn’t do that before. Lemme think, who looks more like Ray Lewis – LoRax or Rocky McIntosh? The guy, to me, has the perfect build for a 3-4 ILB, AND his work ethic is off the charts.

ment to reply here

He’s a sure tackle and he’s proven that he can take on O-linemen from his days at DE

ILB have to cover more in 3-4, I don't think LoAx would fit.

If he doesn't fit

That means he’s the perfect fit…ie Jason Taylor, Haynesworth, Andre Carter, LL at Free safety, Vonnie Holliday at NT.

eh...

I dunno. I think they cover the middle of the field more. I think OLB’s are traditionally more nimble and/or athletic. The ILB is usually the squat/stout guy who can take on O-linemen, AND a sure tackler. I think sideline to sideline hustle is more important than downfield ability for the ILB.
Just m opinion though.

At least you manned up Kev-

I even think you tweeted it more than once. I sent a tweet your way trying to clarify but I think it got lost in the beers,

Damn Kev

Kerrigan and Jarmon don’t even play the same position.

FWIW, I hope JJ reads HH. He’ll see he has some followers on here(including myself), who believe he’s going to be an effective DE in our 3-4 this year.

Anyways, don’t sweat it my man. Props to you on the public apology. You didn’t need to do that, but it showed great character by doing so.
