Might be Losing It: Keep McNabb

I might be losing my mind a little bit, by the talk about tradebacks with the falcons, and the confirmation of Phil Taylor being healthy have got me thinking...

Most likely if we take Taylor in the first, Locker or Mallet won't be around when we pick in the 2nd, leaving us with options that most likely will take even longer to groom. Well what if we actually skipped QB in this draft. Start Rex? No, I'm talking about keeping McNabb.

Consider that with a horrific O-line, I believe McNabb was on track to compete with our single season passing yards record. If we don't draft a QB, and tradeback, we can quite easily give McNabb massive upgrades to work with.

What if in the first couple rounds we draft these positions: (Not in any particular order, besides NT)

NT (Phil Taylor in the late 1st), C/G, OT, RB

Resign Santana Moss, hope to get some contribution out of MK, sign one other FA WR.  McNabb now has a legitimate NFL offensive line, average (as opposed to well below average) receiving core, and Torrain with a speedy back, who should thrive behind an improved OL.

Who knows, maybe McNabb will turn around and blow us away. Maybe he could be the starter for the next 2 years, while he grooms someone we draft next year.
