Bring on the Poz!

Fletcher is not going to last forever. Rocky may be gone. Riley is young and unproven. Blades is pedestrian at best, and is probably best suited for Special Teams.

We need a young middle linebacker.

I want Paul Posluszny!

6-1 238, and nasty.

Poz was a force at Linebacker U since he began to see the field halfway through his true freshmen year. While at PSU, Poz broke the all-time tackles record held by former great Greg Buttle. He finished his career with 372 tackles.

The following are Posluszny's Collegiate Accomplishments:

  • Sporting News Big Ten All-Freshman (2003)
  • Second-team All-Big Ten (2004)
  • 2× First-team All-Big Ten (2005, 2006)
  • 2× First-team AP All-American (2005, 2006)
  • 2× First-team Academic All-American (2005, 2006)
  • Dick Butkus Award Winner (2005)
  • Chuck Bednarik Award Winner (2005, 2006)
  • Poz was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the 2nd round(34th overall), of the 2007 NFL Draft. In 2008, Poz was named Buffalo's Defensive MVP, and prior to the start of the 2009 season, he was named team captain. For his career(which has included 2 broken arms), Poz has totaled 398 tackles, 3 sacks and 4 interceptions.

If a new CBA is reached with the same free agency requirements as the old one, Poz would become an unrestricted free agent.

For as good of a football player that Posluszny is, he is an even better person. His character and leadership would be a valued asset to our football team.
