Shouldn't we really be looking for the next Matt Schaub?

Whenever discussing the Redskins options and the quarterbacks in this year's draft, all the pundits and a lot of people on this site repeatedly mention Mike Shanahan and his pursuit of the next Elway, Plummer, or Cutler. However, after M Shanahan swung at a QB by getting McNabb, against Kyle Shanahan's protests, and missed badly, don't you think K Shanahan probably earned a little more street cred with his pops on having QB input? If I'm not mistaken, I think I remember reading that K Shanahan handles most of the passing offense, while M Shanahan runs the run game and the zone system. If this is true, I think K Shanahan may have his dad's ear on draft day and he very well might be interested in getting a more Matt Schaub like QB.

So I know nothing about Matt Schaub except that he seems like he isn't the best physical speciman at QB, but is heady and accurate. If anything, that sounds more like we could end up going for a Ponder/Dalton (my personal preference) than Locker/Newton/Mallet/Gabbert. Anyone have good insight on how this year's draft QBs compare to Matt Schaub??
