Guilty Pleasure

It's not what you think Tiller, there are no pics of me in lingerie anywhere so pull your man-capris back up.

Over these past few months I haven't been as active posting as I used to (RL has been kicking me in the nuts lately, but w/e) but I have been checking out what you guys have been talking about as far as the draft and shoring up our team the FA.

Star-divide

Now, at this point I THINK it's safe to say that no one here wants to give up picks and/or write blank checks to guys to come play here based on what we've seen just from this past year, but what if you could?

Who is the one person in the entire league that you secretly covet and would do anything to get here if you were the GM?

The guy that you would pull a Vinny for?

The guy that would make you pull out the Super Bowl trophies to introduce him in some pompous, over-the-top press conference?

Why him? Is it just his talent? Do you like the way he carries himself? Do you think he would eventually fit in as a "core Redskin" ala Santana? Or would he be a merc, just here to get his money and play without looking to make a name for himself in Redskins lore?

Larry Fitzgerald

I want more o-lineman something terrible. But if there was some chance in hell that I could get Larry Fitzgerald on this team I’d do it.

Fitzgerald was the 1st name I thought of after reading your Post

Incredibly talented & with a ton of heart, watching him chase down Harrison in the Super Bowl was amazing

Why? There are so many other important spots.

Want an example? Look at the Cardinals with Fitz this year? No supporting cast (like it would be with the Skins) and what happened?

by Parks Smith on Feb 28, 2011 4:42 PM EST up reply actions

not about supporting cast

or trying to find people that fit, just talking about that one guy that you’d pull the trigger on if you could. regardless of the situation we’re in right now

Not at all

I like Larry Fitzgerald, and if there was one FA I could get he would be the one. That’s all I’m saying.

Everyone has their dream FA, I was just wondering who everyone’s was. Not how he would fit in with the system, just who it is and why do you like him.

Why?...Why not??

We need a # 1 WR, it’s that simple, Larry Fitzgerald is the one player in the league that I would over-pay in FA (I’m not giving up draft picks for anyone, including PM or TB) I like Fitzgerald a lot, he’s a class act & I would like for him to be wearing B & G.

Aaron Rodgers

Albert Haynesworth

I know that seems like a joke, and I know we are for sure getting rid of him (as we should at this point).

But, truthfully, if he had better character (and somehow became a leader rather than a big baby) and a better work ethic (and got his fat-ass into shape), and if he truly embraced the NT role of the 3-4, he really would be a real force and could significantly help this defense (assuming he didn’t take plays off).

It’s a real shame to see that much talent fade into obscurity… But it most assuredly will.

I just don't know what to say about Haynesworth anymore

this sense of entitlement he has just makes me shake my head and wonder what planet he lives on

Hi Rekka

“knucklehead” is the only thing that makes any sense to me anymore w/re to Haynesworth.

this sense of entitlement he has

I’m big on Drew Brees, Aaron Rogers and Tom Brady as quality QBs who I’d like to be the face of our franchise. Not gonna happen, though.

of course not
Not gonna happen, though.

but that’s the fun part.

people always talk about the players they want and get blasted on other threads, here you can talk about anyone you want without fear

Aaron Rodgers!

He’s got “it” – all the physical and mental skills plus the leadership.

Philip Rivers

I know he’s an arrogant SOB, but damnit, I also think he just might be one of the top 3 quarterbacks in the NFL. I would love to build around him in the future, and feel like his cocksure attitude would be invaluable to a young team (which we better be in the future).

My vote goes to Rivers

Are you not entertained?

by Tiller56 on Feb 28, 2011 5:23 PM EST up reply actions

Polamalu

I’d take troy in a heartbeat just to make sure fletch doesn’t have to do all the work on d

by Lil_Dwilliams17 on Feb 28, 2011 5:10 PM EST reply actions

If Rekka would be so kind to give me a second vote

it would be Chris Johnson

If Carver decided to give me his vote, it would be Ngata

Are you not entertained?

Guilty Pleasure?

I’ll go with a Jessica Alba and Beil sandwich. You guys take the L out of Flag (not that there is anything wrong with that).

Andrew Luck

I’m getting it out of the way so we don’t have to talk about the first round of next years draft for 3 months!

by ptowny on Mar 1, 2011 7:47 AM EST reply actions

Hard to argue with Rogers...

I was thinking maybe a Clay Matthews or Derrelle Revis

Lauren Conrad….

But since we are talking NFL…..Clay Matthews or Troy Polamalu.

Clay Matthews

He and Orakpo would make each other so much more effective, because their rushing styles are so different. Also on my short list are Charles Woodson and Aaron Rodgers… how sick are the Packers?
