Reconsidering WR in the first 2 rounds!

I realize that I’ve been advocating fixing our O-line and D-line before we address other team needs… but… I’d like to explore the possibility of using one of our top 2 picks on a WR.

We are all aware of how thin we are at WR.

Who we got rid of: We got rid of Devin Thomas… considering the Panthers (of all teams)released him… this might have been a good move! I mean, when the Panthers think their WRs are better than you… you’re officially a bust!

Who we have: Armstrong was a pleasant surprise, but I don’t see him as a #1 WR. I think he’ll eventually replace Moss as our #2 WR/Slot receiver. Austin is not a #1 WR either.

*In case you haven’t heard, CSNwashington is reporting that WR Brandon Banks (our punt/kick returner) was stabbed early Saturday morning. They say it was a superficial wound… but… you never know.

We all hope Malcolm Kelly steps up this year… but no one is holding their breath.

Free Agents: Moss is a Free Agent and might not be back. Reports are that the Chargers will franchise WR Vincent Jackson and I doubt the Vikings will let WR Sidney Rice walk away.

If we bring back Moss as our #2 WR… Shouldn’t we use our 10th overall for a potential #1 WR like Julio Jones?

Or our 2nd round on WR Hankerson?

Who’s going to be our #1 WR if we draft O-line/D-line with our first 2 picks?
