A Big Thank You for Your Support

Guys, a few weeks ago I put up a post about my football team I coach in CT, and I, and our players, were blown away from the support that this community showed. Not only are we hundreds of miles away from the central hub of "Redskins Country", but most of you didn't even knew where the Farmington Indians football team was located, much less know who we are in the scheme of CT football.

I wanted to say that many of our players came on to read that post from a few weeks ago, and they were amazed that people they didn't even know, who were miles away, came to support them, and for this, I(we) thank you.

We lost the game I posted about, but we hung in till the 4th qtr, against one of the top teams in the state, until some costly turnovers proved to be our demise. We ended up rebounding from that loss, and finished the season with a 9-1 record. Unfortunately, we fell short of the playoffs. The system they use in CT, is much like the damn BCS(haha), where they award points based on a flawed system. Although we ran through many of our opponents, we fell one seed short of making the playoffs. Our players, and of course us as coaches, were heartbroken, but we managed to move on, and are now focused on a 10-0 season next year.

We all thank you for your support. It means a lot that a community can come together and give good well wishes for one of it's own, and a team they don't know, and for that, I say thank you. You are all an amazing group of people, and although we bicker and fight over what is right for our Redskins, I would gladly go to battle with any one of you, because I know we are like family.

We had our football banquet last night, and I mentioned you guys to all the players, family and coaches in attendance, and it ment a lot to everyone in attendance.

Peace!
