Why we really need to resign London Fletcher
If the redskins are going to continue on with the youth movement, then they need to keep a really old dog around. that old dog being london fletcher. i would love to see the redskins keep this guy forever. when he retires, he needs to be on the defense staff. in days where our defenders watch a guy break out of tackles and just sit there and watch as if he's a fan in the stands instead of trying, and when our team is getting shutout, but you yell and parade after a vicious hit(after the player gets a 1st down)for no apparent reason. this team needs quality players, and most of all, this team needs LEADERSHIP! we all watched as london lost it after he was flagged for the hit on brady, but that was all because he knew that he did nothing wrong. fletcher is once again leading the league in tackles, and after all the years in the league, still shows that never quit attitude. I hope the redskins can keep this guy around. we all know teams need leaders. so if we don't keep him, who else can step up? Trent? Deangelo? Davis? LOL!

We do need London next year…
My question is, why hasn’t he been signed already?

We need talent more than anything in my opinion, we keep hiring coaches because of their leadership they keep failing because of the talent, or lack thereof on the team

talent only goes as far as the players
look at dallas, every year it’s the same thing……..all the talent in the world and no guidance. i definitely agree with you on the talent, but we also need standout guys to keep everyone going in the right direction. dallas has no leaders on their team

true but lets not compare ourselves to a team that may make the playoffs
by alwaysremember21 on Dec 14, 2011 5:06 PM EST up reply actions
yeah, that would just be silly to compare ourselves to a division rival.....
that we have played twice this year, and lost by a total of 5 (?) points.

Still our rosters are very far apart in terms of talent
Dallas underperforms, we perform pretty much as expected

He'll be resigned. 2-3 YR deal. No doubt.
Fletch has said that he wants to be back which is very surprising considering we’re in a rebuild.

I wish there was a mobile rec for this comment
Lots of people like the stars of teams the wide receivers running backs quarterbacks defensive backs… But London Fletcher is my favorite player he plays hard has heart and is a great mentor that never loses his cool for stupid reasons (looking at Suh). As redskins fans we appreciate what this man has been able to do for this team and for the fans. Offensive players fear this man because he will make the tackle and I you stay up long enough some other player will come and take said players head off. Miss you Sean Taylor!

I liked when the BS flag was thrown on him all of the announcers attacked the officials and mentioned how fletcher is a respected and clean player

I went off when that flag was thrown at fletcher
I’d I was in the stands I may have rushed the field and made Fletcher hold me back from beating up the ref

agreed....(although not so much on the jumping out of the stands and beating up the ref)
I think if all of the Skin’s fans were in one place when that flag was thrown they would have felt the wave of outrage in Madagascar…..I was irate.

I have to say I was surprised that Fletcher almost lost his cool
That’s when the ref knew he must have been in the wrong

Lavar Arrington compaired what Fletch did to what Dhall did.
Lavar is a colossal asshat,

And yet
He still looks reasonable next to Dukes.

I dont find Dukes and Lavar to be that bad
they are frustated but they have a right to be

At least half the time
They are either completely nonsensical or purposely misconstruing the arguments of those with whom they disagree in order to paint them as illogical or overly emotive.
If that was too highbrow, then I will just say they are jackholes.

Fair enough
But I stand by the jackholes statement.
