With 3 to 5 Franchise Quarterbacks available this coming draft we all are looking at the standings. As much as it kills me to lose every week I do look at the big picture. There are 13 Teams with 5 or less wins. If Seattle wins tonight that would drop it to 12 teams. A Rams win would move them to 3 wins, only 1 game from the Redskins.
Our last 3 games are brutal. A Giants team looking for the playoffs. A Minnesota team with Jared Allen and company that is sure to create havoc with our offensive line. Philly's final game with us will be tough to win.
Winning 1 of 3 will get us at worse the 13th pick of the draft. Almost no chance we get a top 3 pick. I would love to select a franchise quarterback in the first round without having to trade up. That would be my dream. Not having to use the aquired 4th, 5th and 6th round picks from trades plus definitely a 2nd rounder to move up in the first round would be most ideal.
Picking anywhere after #7, in my opinion, is going to make it tricky to not get any of the big 3 in Luck, Jones and Barkley without moving up. There are just too many teams that NEED a quarterback.
So keep looking at those standings. The teams with 2 wins, the Rams and Vikings will have a chance to get to 4 Wins and catch the Redskins so that we can improve our chances to move up in the draft.
I hate watching my Redskins lose. I cheer them on, but I know in the back and front of my mind that I want one of those 3 Franchise Graded Quarterbacks and I do not want to give up any draft picks or players to get one.
