Should we consider bringing Jason Campbell back?
I, like many other's think that we shouldn't have gotten rid of Campbell in the first place. But what's done is done. I would rather have Campbell for a couple of years grooming whatever QB we draft, then Grossman or Beck. I don't know what his contract situation is. But whoever we draft at QB, can't be thrown in the mix anyway. Maybe we can get him cheap and address the Oline for the next couple of years. I'm pretty sure Campbell won't be in Oakland much longer! (hey it's just a thought!)

He wouldn't want to come back.
I wouldn’t assume that Carson Palmer spells the end of JC’s tenure at Oakland though. He’s on IR, not riding the bench for poor performance. He could give Palmer some serious competition.
You're kidding right?
(1) Why would JC want to come back here?
(2) Why would we want JC to come back here?
(3) Since Shanny said JC wouldn’t work in his system and dumped him to the Black Hole why would he want him back?
Matt Flynn
I prefer the idea of bringing in Matt Flynn. The guy is a free agent and has been groomed by Aaron Rodgers.
Do you have a name?
It’s easy to sit there and say bring in the franchise QB…
Landry, Barkley and in the craziest set of circumstances and prayer....Luck
Redskins @LandryJones2012
For a system and position
Robert Griffin is a good option to bring in a combination of mobility and accuracy, although he is coming from a Baylor spread system. Still, he has every tool to build a franchise around.
If we were to trade down, Ryan Tannehill is a great prospect who’ll be available late 1st, early 2nd and would bring a similar skill set, just a little less success from lack of college experience and reps.
And with our rising failure, we look like we have a chance at Landry Jones or Matt Barkley, who’s impressed me more although he probably isn’t the best fit in this system.
There are a number of QBs who bring real, legitimate talent that we could and should get in the draft.
Campbell would be an improvement and the best FA available, so it would be dumb to cross him off our shopping list
But the others are right, he’ll look for opportunities elsewhere.
Campbell will not never play in Washington under Shanahan...
what kind of embarassment would it be if Campbell came here and played well after we traded him away, and then traded all of those draft picks for McNabb…then the QB debacle we’ve had this year. It will never happen
JUST WHAT WE NEED
Is to regress by getting JC back . We need to make better choices in who we bring in here and JC would be a huge mistake picking him back up . If they brought JC back then the redskins are looking to lose more games as usual .
I think Jason will be in Oakland a long time
But he’s not good enough for me to want him back here.
Jason Campbell is better than John Beck or Rex Grossman
but Im not sure he would want to come back. Also it wouldn’t change the fact that we need to draft our a franchise QB in the first round.
Should we consider bringing Jason Campbell back?

Yes- as a short term solution
Yes, we should think about him as an option for next year as short term solution. He is far superior to Grossman or Beck. Even if we draft a QB in the first round next year, I would be hesitant to through him into the fire without veteran help.
Hindsight is wonderful thing, but Shanahan’s decision to give up on Campbell and trade for McNabb was one of the most damaging decisions made by the Redskin’s front office over the last 10 years. I don’t say that because I believe Campbell is a great QB, but because it was obvious that the Redskin team that Shanahan and Allen had far bigger holes to fill on their roster than Jason Campbell. The result of that trade cost this football team 2 relatively high draft pick which could have been used for rebuilding, and we would not have to deal with the 2 dim wits behind center .
What?
one of the most damaging decisions made by the Redskin’s front office over the last 10 years
Someone doesn’t remember the ol Ball Coach’s tenure…
It seemed clear in the beginning that Shanahan wasn't impressed with him
As good as I think he could be in Shanahans system I highly doubt he would want to come back here.
either a backup in oakland or a starter somewhere else
let’s look at our situation. we draft a QB next year and have Beck or Grossman groom him? or we throw him in there with a rebuilding Oline and have him fighting for his life? Or bring Campbell in for a year or two to have him groom the new QB. I know he’s not coming back to DC, but we suck sooooooo bad, it’s got me thinking crazy!
And you eonder why we need a franchise QB?

why?
Well, I’m working under the assumption that the best move for the redskins is to draft a QB in the 1st or 2nd round this off season to be our QB of the future. If that is the case, and we don’t "Suck for the Luck", I don’t think it would be wise to through Jones, Barkley, etc into the fire their first year. That means we will need a veteran QB to at least start the 2012 season unless we are prepared to deal with Beck and/or Grossman again in 2012 (which I’m not). So who does that leave as possible replacements that are better than Campbell? Orton? (He’d cost us draft picks) V. Young? David Carr? Claussen? Derek Anderson, Boller? The pickings are real slim.
WE should never have let him go in the first place
He was never going to be a SB QB, buthe was the perfect QB for a re-build, cheap, efficient and a good team man. He wont come back and now its 2 years 2 late anyway. Everyone has to remember that SHanahan told us he was ‘more than happy’ with his QB options in the pre-season, so that means one of 2 things. Either he sucks as a Talent Evaluator or his son is a terrible OC.
Pommylee
They had to bench Rex -
He was winning waaaay too many of those games! Kidding, kidding.
THANK YOU
here, here. Unloading JC the way we did was a huge mistake. Jason Campbell is something like the 15th best quarterback in the NFL. That is a hellllllll of a lot better than what I’m watching every sunday.
i know i am crazy
peyton manning will be a skin next year and we will draft a franchise QB to be tutored by the great manning its not 100% but it could happen hey nobody thought mcnabb would ever be a skin lets just keep a eye on this.

Jason Campbell right now is better than our last three Qbs combined (Mcnab, Beck, Grossman)
