Which Fantasy Player Would You Rather Start?

It's gameday and Kevin and I are on our way to FedEx Field as I write this. Today's "Who Would You Start?" fantasy question is a little different.

Put simply: Do you have any rules when it comes to owning Dallas Cowgirls? And if you do find yourself with a Cowgirl on your team, do you start that player on days like this?

If you want to win......

you have to play your lead dogs…anytime. If there is an equivalent player at that position…..than obviously it’s a choice…and I would usually lean away from a Cowboy. However, if you are struggling at RB and are thinking of sitting Demarco Murray…..if you are starting Mike Sims Walker with Laurent Robinson on your bench….or you have Tyler Palko just so you don’t have to start Romo…..you are essentially throwing your game. If you are serious about Fantasy…..you play your dogs….no matter who they are. That said…I go out of my way to stay away from NFC East players when building my team….because you do question your fandom slightly when making these choices. I also hate rooting for opposing players to perform well against our Skins!

At least "WE ARE" not Penn State!!!

I'm with you on that one

I have Fred Davis AND Jason Witten in both of my leagues… I was flip-flopping them early in the season, but FF is a business, if you’re not trying to win then why put in the time. I used to be a homer when it came to playing or not playing ‘Skins/ ’Boys, but 2-3 years of getting burned by Clinton Portis, and McNabb not looking for Cooley, have put a damper on that fire. Although I only just recently benched WASH Defense…. like I said, I’m proud, but this is a business!!

I don't play fantasy football

But if I did, I wouldn’t even have a cowgirl on my roster.
Anybody who does would have a hard time explaining to me that they were a true Redskins fan.
I can’t tell you how angry I am for having a former cowgirl on this roster-let’s hope he does better than every other Dallas retread that we have had

The world looks mighty different when you're peeking out your belly button

I'm in a staunch no Cowgirl party...

I also don’t start opposing team players against the Redskins (usually). I did break the Cowgirl rule this year though b/c I had LaGarette Blunt (hurt), Jahvid Best (hurt), Cedric Benson (suspended) all in one week. So I picked up DeMarco Murray, started him and that was the game he ran for a million yards.

I benched my cowpie last week on the no-cowboys-unless-I-can-help-it principle

and he scored 27 points. And now my best WR is on bye, and I have nobody else that can fill the void. So yep, have to start a cowpie.

Of course, I’m in 4 leagues and I don’t own a single cowpie in the other 3.

ditto

I have done that too. You don’t get any sympathy either when that happens and the other guys beats you by like 2 points.

well, I still won by 30

so it didn’t matter that I didn’t play him. But I might not win future games by such a comfortable margin.

i do have murry starting today.

We are all skins fans cuz we love the game of football. Why do we love the the game? The competion and the joy of winning. Those of us who play fantasy do it for the same reason, to win. Dont bench your studs and play your best players. Anyone who doesnt want to “suck for luck” should have the same mindset for fantasy. I hate to say it but murry, has been a stud so im starting him. I picked him up because i was desperate like parks was, hes went off ever since. I didnt draft any cowgirls but if it makes all you haters feel better im in two leagues and drafted bothe helu and the skins D and are still rollin with them!! HAIL!!!!

I'm not a massive fantasy football guy

But if I happened to have a Cowboy player (or any player for a team playing the Redskins for that matter) I usually put them straight in the team because they are highly likely to score a fair amount of points…. it’s the only consolation I have after a bunch of losses by the Skins.
