10+ Years of rosters mismanagement can not be fixed in 2!

Guys I know how we are all feeling and I honestly have just watched games as something to do on Sundays I dont expect to win and have told my wife as well as friends "We may not win another game". My point is I think Coach Shanahan cant be judged after just 2 years not if we are serious about building a consistent product. We ignored so many positions over so many years and just kept trying to plug gaps and got worse, our QB situation is all you need to look at we had NO ONE we brought up through the years and no veteran in place. OLine looks slightly better than past years but our run game has been stopped, i put this squarely on teams game planning to stop the run. Why prepare for the pass? Chances are Grossman or Beck will throw the ball to the other team and not our guy if we did go deep. Defense is a bright spot but they can only do so much, 3 and outs will get them tired and they will give up points if you keep them out there. Whats the endgame? Draft a QB and bring in a veteran that he can play behind, when hes ready get him out there. Continue to build OLine depth and bring in some real receivers, i love hank and davis but lets be honest santana is old, cooley may never be the same and who else do we have? We still have a long way to go and i fully expect for Shanahans contract  to be close to fullfilled before we see results. If we do it the right way im willing to wait. JOHN BECK, REX GROSSMAN how far did you think we would get?

I'm not going to read the giant paragraph

But I would like to say that I love the draft choices that have been made over the past two years. Perry Riley looked something fierce on Sunday.

"OLine looks slightly better than past years but our run game has been stopped, i put this squarely on

teams game planning to stop the run. Why prepare for the pass?" This idea has some merit. The power blocking scheme that the Skins used before Shanahan may have been less susceptible to the opponents’ game planning. There are some former Skins OL that have managed to start for other teams (Heyer) and did alright in limited duty with the Team in 2009. The Ravens use the outside zone stretch, but power blocking inside. The Jets use ZBS that was effective when Mangold was playing at center, but only did about half as well with him out of the lineup. It is also true if a team defends well against the Skins running game it forces the Team to be one dimensional, play action won’t work without an effective run game. Seattle drafted in 2011 to beef up their OL after their attempt at ZBS in the 2010 season.

As a dallas guy

I hate the skins but I hate that y’all have mike shanahan even more cause he is going to improve your team to the point where these hard divisional games will turn into a blood bath with the skins scalping everyone

You know what is interesting...

…the reasonable fans of other teams have more fear of Shanahan turning the Skins around than we have hope.

This post was spot on, rwells87.

I should say "than we have hope that he will turn it around".

A real indictment of what we (well, most of you, really) have become as a fan base.

I agree that a 2 year turnaround is unrealistic.

Especially when the first year was botched.
