I get it. This team has so many expectations and we all thought that things would go much better. I admit, after the 3-1 start I was one of the Kool-aid drinkers and distributors. Here is the thing.... This team is still growing. Can anyone look at the last 2-5 years of draft or signings and say that we are truly where we need to be? Should we honestly be considering an overhaul of coaching positions at the end of this year? If we did clean house and hire new coaches, clear the roster, and start over where would we be?
My answer is that if we start over right now, we are right back where we started before the Shanaplan came to D.C. This team is building from the ground up. We all need to accept the fact that the rebuilding process (oops, said the "R" word) is going to take some time and that we are going to lose some of our beloved players in the process in order to make this team a winner again. If we go on a crazy spending spree and change coaches at this point, what have we gained?
It is time to stay the course, accept the sickening losses, and pray that this will all come out in the end. I wish things could turn on a dime, but this team is still building and there are great things to come. Stay patient, stay strong, and for the love of the Redskins, never give up. This was a hard loss tonight, but let's not place blame and instead look at our opportunities for the future (especially with low draft picks).... HTTR!
