Minnesota, Carolina and Peyton showing what a 1st Round Talent Draft Pick Quarterback does for a team

We want to win. We don't need no stickin Franchise Quarterback. We don't care if we cannot move the ball down the field, as long as you can't move it either. We want to be able to win games 6-3. DEFENSE. DEFENSE. DEFENSE.

SMASH MOUTH FOOTBALL BABY!

Oh, No. We held the Eagles to 20 points and the Bills to 23 points. DEFENSE.

ah oh. We can't score. Our Quarterback can't move the ball. What's missing?

A FRANCHISE QUARTERBACK

The Minnesota Vikings are loaded. They have been for the past 5 years. Great Defense. Great running game. Great everything.

Also Great LOSERS!

Until they decided that they needed a quarterback. They get Brett Favre. Ahhhh. Presto. One play from the Superbowl. Almost spoiled the Hurricane Katrina feel good story of the New Orleans Saints.

Did the Redskins just cast away the Great Donovan McNabb? Wow. It's only going to cost us a 6th round draft pick. We better get him. Fast Forward. He Sucks.

Let's make sure we draft our next Quarterback of the Future. Enter Christian Ponder. BOOOOOO! You drafted him too high at #13. Really? Let's ask that question now. Did the Minnesota Vikings waste the #13 pick on Christian Ponder? Um. I take it back. He was a steal. Dang, the Vikings look good now.

The Minnesota Vikings are now laughing at the world. They are laughing at the teams like the Redskins, Dolphins and Browns. Teams that decided not to draft a 1st round talent Quarterback.

THEY ARE SET AT QUARTERBACK FOR THE NEXT UMPTEEN YEARS.

The Indianapolis Colts. Or should I say the Peyton Manning Colts.

A Great Team with Peyton. THE WORST TEAM IN FOOTBALL WITHOUT HIM.

Where are all these great receivers? Where's Reggie Wayne? The Colts defense is built to hold on to a lead with Peyton Manning at Quarterback. What happens if the Colts never get the lead. Ooops!

CAM NEWTON. Enough Said.

We don't want Andrew Luck, the Jones kid, or Matt Barkley. We want to take some bafoon in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th round. Guys who don't have 1st round talent makeup. But hey " He was a steal in the 4th round!"

Poor John Beck, Chad Henne, Tavaris Jackson and the newest member to the 2nd round folleys Kevin Kolb.

Mr. Snyder and Mr. Shanahan, do Redskins Nation (especially ME) a favor and stop dickering around and get us a dang First Round Graded Talent Quarterback so we can stop looking like the Dolphins and Browns. We want to look like the Packers, Chargers, Steelers, Colts (with Peyton), and now the Carolina Panthers and the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings look good b/c they beat the 2-6 Panthers?

If we went by your theory then the Panthers should of blown out the Vikings b/c of their #1 overall QB.

Fun Fact: Christian Ponder’s QB Rating is lower than Donovan McNabb’s.

yep because Newton or Ponder wouldn't be running for their lives yesterday

and it would have been kinda hard for our defense to ‘hold’ the Eagles and Bills to so few points if Kerrigan wasn’t on our defense.

what??

that wasn’t really the point, but since you asked. Yes with a better offensive line Beck/Grossman could get us to a 6 to 8 win record. Our QB play isn’t a whole lot different from last year when we brought in our ‘franchise’ guy and paid him about $15 million.

I’m not saying don’t improve the QB position, but you can’t say Andrew Luck, Landry Jones etc. are the be all end all. Not if it means we have to move up to get them, which leaves us without the resources to address our O-line.

The Panthers have a grand total of 2 wins

That doesn’t exactly sound like a whole hell of a lot of improvement to me.

Yep, let’s go get a guy like the Packers and Chargers, I mean, I’m sure Shanahan won’t be fired or anything for trading up to get this quarterback of yours and then sitting him for 3 years.

you are right..the Panthers were foolish for drafting

Cam Newton.

They should have drafted a LT because Otah has bad knees or an elite receiver to replace the aging Steve Smith who potentially could leave in FA. Why reach for an unknown franchise QB when the rest of the team isn’t ready.

You can pick this apart

with numbers or logic all day….

But he’s right about what we need.

Can we just go ahead and change the record already?

First round QB

The only thing that makes me concerned about a 1st round QB is Cambell, Ramsey, Shuller, Harington, Leaf, Alex Smith?, Carr, all the other guys drafted the same year as Mcnab, Quin and Russel, Vince Young, and all of the USC gang

Add Blaine Gabbert to that list.
