Redskins vs. Rams: Brian Orakpo and Ryan Kerrigan are becoming quite a duo - The Washington Post

Redskins’ win over Rams should have been easy, but Grossman makes it harder - WaPost
Rex has 14 turnovers in his 7 starts since taking over as Redskins QB last December. An average NFL QB makes about one turnover a game, including lost fumbles. No team can succeed, or ever has in recent times, with a quarterback spitting up the ball anywhere near that twice-a-game rate.

Redskins vs. Rams: Washington escapes St. Louis with 17-10 win - The Washington Post
"I could tell this week in practice that Tim wasn’t quite himself," Shanahan said. "I don’t know if he was banged up, or what. And I thought [Roy] Helu looked very good. But Torain looked like he was on a different level. Maybe he was a little more fresh than the other guys, but you could see it yourself."

Rick Snider: For Redskins, an indecisive victory | Rick Snider
A 9-7 mark might win the NFC East. But is Washington good enough to start beating teams without major flaws? St. Louis might be the NFL's worst team, the New York Giants were depleted by injuries and Arizona simply put on a lackluster performance.Top Five: Redskins wins after a bye | Washington Examiner

Rams QB Sam Bradford finds going rough against Redskins - The Insider - The Washington Post
“Any quarterback in this league that gets hit that much is gonna get rattled,” nose tackle Barry Cofield said. “I’ve seen the best quarterbacks in the league get roughed up, and they’ll lose it. I think Bradford is extremely talented. He’s got all the tools. But any quarterback, when you hit and harass him like we did today, he’s going to have a hard time.”

"I have to watch the tape, but I HAVE to avoid that," Grossman continued. "The first one I couldn’t really avoid, but that interception at that time, I’ve got to make sure I see the wide receiver absolutely open. And I did, but I’ve got to know the timing of the play, that that mike backer could get back in play."

Redskins-Rams best and worst - DC Sports Bog
Worst First-Drive Playcalling: Kyle Shanahan. Courtesy the Washington Times’s Rich Campbell, against the NFL's worst run defense, the Redskins started the game like this: pass, pass, pass, pass, false start, punt. In contrast, the Skins started the second half run, run, run, run, run, and wound up with a field goal.

"That’s always a good thing," left tackle Trent Williams said. "Rex said he came out feeling good, and that’s always a great thing to be able to come into a bye week and not having to be aching the first three, so it feels great."

Were the Redskins simulating quarterback cadence? Not this time - The Insider

Its gonna be a good week 5

watching two teams in the NFC East going into hostile environments. I’lll be sitting back as i watch the cowboys get dismantled by the pats, while Vick and the “Dream Team” cry after another loss. HAIL YEAH!

I think the opposite, if the Eagles win they will regain some belief

but if they lose and head into the game 1-4 they will be incredibly demoralised! It will be an incredibly intriguing game watching our D go against their high powered O that would rival some of the best Offense v Defense matchups in the league, however their D against our O would probably rank amongst the worst matchups in the league!

Hard to pin that on the refs, it was certainly bizarre. It should be reviewable though in a situation like that.

This was the best football weekend I've had in a while

My high school team won(we had a massive storm friday night, and our game had to be finished on sunday) 38-14. Penn State won. The Skins won. The Eagles lost. The Cowgirls lost. It could have been perfect if the Giants would have lost.
