1. Confusing Cam Newton - Newton has been a special this year and has a lot of talent and upside. He also has 9 interceptions. He can be had is what i'm saying. Haslett should whip out all types of schemes to throw him off. Make him think, throw all types of exotic and complex looks at him. You attack a rookie QB by attacking his brain. The Skins should really mix it up a bit. Newton's decision making is still raw and i think the Skins can take advantage of that. 

2. Don't Get Your Ass Beat Deep - Newton throws a GAWJUS deep pass. I'm simply in love with it. He and Steve Smith have a lethal connection going. They want to take shots down the field and get that big play. The Skins corners need to be on their A game. Safety help over the top will be crucial. Cover 2? I like that idea. The Cover 2 is designed to take away the big play. It forces QB's to be patient. We will see what Haslett does.

3. Red Zone Defense - The Skins did not allow a single point in the 2nd half of yesterday's game. I liked how they stiffened up in the Redzone after the Eagles first two touchdowns. The Panthers have a great offense and can move the ball just like Philly. But they have had their troubles in the redzone. We are no better, but hey that's another story. The Defense needs to hold them to field goals down there. I liked the pressure Haslett brought on Vick in the redzone. Forcing Newton to make quick decisions is the key. 

4. Fast Start on Offense- The Redskins are slow as hell when it comes to starting ball games offensively. Except for the Rams game, they have started slow on offense and have failed to score a lot of points IN THE FIRST QUARTER. The offense needs to set the damn tone. Get a lead. I think with Beck, they can take more shots down the field. I want to see them pound the rock, then hit that play action bootleg and take a deep shot. Beck has a stronger arm than Grossman and MORE MOBILITY. He also has better pocket awareness from what i have seen. 

The Panthers are 1-5. They are exciting and competitive. But if the Skins cannot bounce back and get a convincing win over these guys, then the playoffs are looking dim. The Skins have Buffalo and San Francisco coming after this Sunday. The Panthers can KILL the Skins if they don't bring their A game. However, If the Skins do bring their A game, they can take out Carolina pretty nicely imo. I expect a better game than last week.
